Hi everyone, I hate asking for help in my first post but I need some! My friend has tripped on shrooms once before a long time ago, and that's it. This past Thursday he got an 1/8 of shrooms and they're really wet, and have small white things that are hard in them. See picture below. He wasn't able to take them this weekend and will have to wait until next weekend.

What's the best and easiest way to preserve them?

Thank you very much!

I dunno about you but judging from that picture that's not something I would eat.

Yeah man they look freakin disgusting. My friend was gonna blend them up in OJ to make them tolerable but the opportunity passed. Now I don't know if he'll be able to save these til next weekend. From the things he's briefly searched drying them out seems to be an annoying process. He was hoping someone with experience could give advice on what to do. He really wants to have a spiritual experience in the woods next weekend...

No way mushrooms should look like that. I wouldn't eat em if you paid me. Looks like someone just took a runny shit in the bag

Thats fucked......wet mushrooms are usually just large full mushrooms. Their bigger and more robust because of the liquid inside and you need to eat more because of this. Either way that looks like fucked shit, i'd toss it or yell at the guy you got from!

Fuck. So everyone agrees I should toss them?

Yes sir for sure, toss that mysterious looking matter and be glad no one ingested that imo/e. I have never seen any dried/wet mushroom or mushroom powder that looks like that. You want to make sure your getting whole mushrooms or straight dried caps and stems before you purchase anything for sure.

Definitely throw that away, read up on mushrooms and you will learn that mushrooms either need to be consumed within about a week if you store it in the fridge in a paper bag, or - what is generally preferred - dry them throroughly, first with air then with desiccant. Dry they can be preserved infinitely better, so to speak.
