Hi everyone! I am a relatively new MDMA user, and I was wondering if you guys could give me some advice. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

A few months ago I got about .3 grams of MDMA, and in mid-February I took half of it and rolled for the first time. I really loved it, however I had done a lot of research into the drug and determined that I had to be careful not to use it too often. I tried it again for the second time (finished the other .15 grams) near the end of March, and had another amazing time. I was later told that "moonrocks" are supposedly much better than the "molly" powder I had tried, so I got some moonrocks when the opportunity arose. Not wanting to roll again too soon, I waited a little over a month and tried the rocks at the very end of April. I was expecting them to be mind-blowing and took only .11 grams, but found that I peaked very quickly and for a short amount a time. When I realized it had died down and didn't seem to be coming back up (about 2 hours later), I boosted with around .7 grams more, and had a really great time for the next few hours. The comedown, however, was absolutely terrible, and I felt out of it for almost a week. My comedown the first two times was noticeable, but really only lasted a day or two.

So I have a couple questions, the first regarding the dosage/comedown. Any ideas why the moonrocks gave me such a terrible comedown when compared to the stuff I took the other two times I rolled? The differences I can identify are that I took (slightly) more of the moonrocks over the course of the day, and that I boosted when I wasn't feeling it anymore. Could these factors have attributed to the more difficult comedown? I'm thinking next time I will just take .15/.2 right off the bat without boosting at all. Could the comedown be the result of other stuff mixed in with the moonrocks, and should I invest in a testing kit? I certainly felt the happiness and intense empathy for those around me I associate with MDMA, but I guess it's possible there could still be more harmful things mixed in? Finally, in terms of making the days after rolling less unpleasant, is 5-HTP the way to go? From what I've read it seems to be very helpful, and if the few days after rolling on these rocks are always going to be this terrible, it's going to be hard to ever find the time to take them.

My other question involves a hypothetical timeline in terms of rolling again. I know that I will definitely have an opportunity where I will want to roll around mid-June. However, around late May all of my friends will be rolling at a trance show, and it would obviously be super fun to join them. My concern is that this would be putting only a little over 3 weeks between my last roll and the May roll, and then only a little over 3 weeks between that and the June roll. After June things will settle down and I doubt I will have another opportunity to roll for quite some time, but I still don't want to risk messing myself up or "losing the magic" by doing it too frequently until then. I've read tons of varying reports on what is "too much", so I was wondering if you guys have any input given my specific situation.

Thanks so much for reading this, and sorry it's so long. Any help with any of these questions would be super valuable to me!

I think its always safe to get testing kit before you decide to go on a good roll. Unless you're getting it directly from the folks that whipped the shit up, and even then i'd still test the stuff. But as for the comedown, I always make sure to have a good benzo to really relieve the anxiety and help me finally fall to sleep. 4-8 mg of xanax does the trick for me.

If you do decide to go this route, i would dose much less. This amount of xanax wod be for someone with quite the tolerance

Hi! You're saying you've done your research, yet you take 0.7grams in one night!? 120mg should be enough for someone who's barely used it before, maybe with a 50mg redose. I can imagine such an amount would give you a bad comedown. Stick to 200mg max in one night and you won't feel nearly as bad.

As for redosing; it's fine to redose once. You should do this about 1.5hrs after you've taken your first hit of mdma, since by that time your body hasn't built a tolerance to the drug yet and it will be most effective and the least damaging. If you do 200mg in a night, try 100 (first dose), then 50 (2nd dose) and maaaaybeeee if you really feel like it's wearing off too soon another 50mg hit 3 hours after your first dose. That should prolong your roll just fine, assuming that what you have is real mdma. Test that shit. If you have real mdma and you take proper breaks in between uses (at least 6 weeks) you definitely shouldnt need amounts like 0.7. With mdma less is more in my opinion, 0.7 would leave me floored whereas around 150mg is optimal.

Perhaps take 5-htp (can buy online i think) a couple of days after your use, it helps replenish your serotonin. I wouldnt take any more drugs (benzos) if possible, especially in those amounts. If you take a normal dose of mdma and it's completely worn off then sleeping shouldnt be a huge problem.... Eat plenty of healthy foods the days after and exercise. Done!
Hope this helps!
Good luck :)

Yikes, I meant a redose of 0.07, not 0.7. So it was a total of around 180mg over the course of a few hours. Sorry for the confusion, and thanks for the advice everyone.
It sounds like a testing kit is a good idea, gonna get one now. Any types of kits particularly better than others?

Are "long-term" comedowns a real thing? Is it possible to have 6-12 month long come-downs?

I've been in a bad comedown for 4 months now.

Well I told my dad about it and he said it doesn't exist, and that the only reason I still feel anxiety/symptoms is because it's all in my head.

I was just confused about it myself. I still don't know what to believe really. On one hand it could be because of a long-term comedown, on the other hand it could be me making up the symptoms and anxiety up in my head.

I just want to know if I will get better honestly.

hello whats wrong.

Your dad is right in a sense anxiety a lot of it is in your head but unfortunately MDMA and other types of drug abuse has a nasty habit of triggering it. Once triggered it can be very tricky to remove. I also beleive that MDMA overdoses do disrupt the serotonin network and this can also contribute to anxiety and other nasty symptoms.

As has already been explained a fitness regime, good diet, mind management and patience are your ticket out of this.

Yes you will get better.

No it wont be instant.

Unlikely you will be the same person again but you will survive and be a better person for it.

If you would like to know more about anxiety, the brain or general neuroscience I have knocked a small library together for members check it out.

For you I strongly advise the book Anxiety and Panic Free. Read that and more of what you are feeling will make sense. It also explains techniques how you might be able to get these awful thoughts out of your head.
