I recently did half an eighth of golden teachers. No nausea, no body, no trip. Friends tripped off the same batch. Next day I tried 4.2 grams from a different source. Nothing. I'm very disappointed!!!!! I need some feedback!!!

it usually happens when you expect alot from a drug . mostly first timers feel this way . dont expect too much and you ll defo experince some effects in near future ;)

Also, mushrooms are natural products and it is possible to get weak specimens. If you are not sensitive to the effects on top of that you can have little or no effects from them.

Then there is additional factors like set & setting and medications.

I certainly wouldn't dismiss the existence of hardheads - you might be one - but then again I think that in a significant number of cases people misdiagnose themselves as one before knowing the whole story and finding other explanations.

Try other substances - synthetic ones that have verified potency and that you weigh yourself in particular - if you don't trip from that either and are not on medications, then we'll talk :) so to speak. (This is not saying that I suggest you take more drugs, but that jumping to conclusions is best not done too early!)

There hasn't been much research into people who can't trip. There are a few of these people out there, searching google has several threads in all the message boards about that friend many of us seem to have who is immune. I agree you cant decide you are hardhead without a bunch of tests. I had a friend who had no reaction to huge acid and mushroom doses, he gave up trying. A case from the US government secret trials seems to point to at least one person immune to LSD

"There were also some unexplained reactions, affirming LSD’s capacity to trigger infinite behavioral variation. One subject seemed to be immune to the drug—an “object lesson in humility,” Jacobson observed. The team began to fear that someone had given the man a warning, or that he had been trained in countermeasures to LSD, suggesting that the whole operation was somehow “compromised to the opposition.” Several weeks later, the team found a pretext to covertly slip him LSD again, this time at more than twice the first dose. The reaction was similar: scarcely any effect. "

That is very interesting I am excited to read this article good find.

I wish the OP would come back and update us on Meds

I have a friend with that some problem. She took 3 hits of some good acid and felt nothing while I was tripping hard. Its very strange how this happens. I've seen several people take psychedelics and not trip. I know certain medicine can make you unable to trip but none of them were on meds.

I am on the antidepressant Pristiq. Are you saying this could make me not trip?!?

Ah Ha! I had the same exact experience the first few times I did mushrooms in high school. I couldnt figure out why everyone else was tripping but not me. It was a couple years later in college that I tried boomers next, and WHAM!!

I was on Pristiq and Paxil for most of high school but none in college. Correlation does not prove causation, however, it makes sense that an SSRI would alter the way Psilocin acts on seratonin receptors.

I was on the works in terms of psych meds for a while. I couldnt feel a roll. I could tell if it was real but that was it. I stopped the psych meds. I was on luvox, seroquel, depakote, topomax, effexor and clonazapam. Im fine just on clonazapam now. My psychiatrist tried to have me commited for ceasing my meds but I think it was a bluff. Im not sure cuz he got fired. After that I went to my physician and asked for clonazapam and it was hooked up. I have tripped since ceasing the psych meds but have not touched X. X did so much damage to my brain and really fucked me up so I would rather go with shrooms, opiates, dust, pow pow, heron, grass, and booze. But yeah I digress psych meds fucked up tripping and rolling for me. Im sure Im good now. I think you can only take so much X before it loses the magic though. You dont get that seratonin back ya know.

Case closed - unless you guys want to make this an ongoing discussion (warranting mega-merging at some point).
