Benzos How to avoid benzo dependency/withdrawal?

Im going away to tenerife for 2 weeks next week and ill basically be drinking everyday. I get horrible alcohol hangovers, the anxiety and depression messes me up big time but I usually take a few diazepam 10mg to sort the head out. I doubt very much they are 10mg as they arent prescribed, maybe they are more like 2 mg...I dont even get them in their blisters

Anyways, my question is would I get away with taking diazepam everday for 2 weeks straight without getting the dreaded benzo withdrawal symtoms? If not whats the best way to space the pills out, for example, maybe take for 5 days and take 2 days off and then take them again on the 8th day for another 5 days?

Any advice is greatly appreciated folks

From what I have researched, both alcohol and benzo's hit the same brain receptor and neurotransmitter family: Gabba (sp?) With that said, that is why the benzo helps.

To answer your question, skipping days and taking the least amount possible and less each day is the best way, I found. Also, I found Valium to be the weakest, Klonopin stronger, and Xanax to be incredibly physically and psychologically addictive very quickkly.

yeah i stay clear of the xannies. Vallies usually do the job for me and doesnt turn me into a zombie, like xanax does to me mixed with booze

I would wager that you might very well become dependent on that regimen, especially considering that your GABAergic neurons have already taken a big hit from alcohol and that the active remnants diazepam remains in the system for over a week.

I'm really confused, Diazepam 10mg or 2mg?

Your poor GABAergic receptors... Alcohol + Benzodiazepines is like one of the strongest recipes for depression according to everything I have ever seen in my life.

god bless you and please do not go overboard, like you're intending to. Alcohol constantly fucking your GABA sub-unit B, and Benzodiazepines royally fuck your GABA sub-unit A. So yeah, you're punishing one receptor pretty fucking hard and I would not be surprised in the slightest if your plan turns out to be one big bad trip.

1 week without alcohol while everyone else is getting pissed? Id be bored out of my mind over there. Its basically a drinking holiday. I read somewhere that 3 days on and 2 days off the benzos is effective in avoiding dependency so I think ill try that

Valerian. 2-3 grams can remove the symptomps of a (moderate) habit completely. Even 1.5 helped me when I started going into symptomps last night.

Have seen a lot say it doesn't work, so only tried it out properly recently. The key is to take enough for your tolerance, and that's it. Can't believe I've endured several withdrawals with no relief when something so easily accessible could have made it 100 x better.

It seems to remove everything aside from a faster than normal heartrate and some moodiness issues.

i think i am there, and i do not blame habit but what makes my ego the need habit.
i am full and ready with this world already, a dark path.

Benozs hits GABA like alcohol too. Theoretically you will incsrese you tolerance and dependence. Your gaba receptors will increse tolerance.
I dont think it is good idea.

Tell me what is the biggest problem thats bothering you when not drinking alcohol? Do you have withdrawal?

No I dont have a drink or benzo problem. I only usually take them on the weekends . Sounds like ill just have to struggle through my hangovers like everyone else...although im gonna bring some diazepam just incase I really am hanging bad

You prevent a hangover by drinking at least a pint of water for every drink before going to sleep (boil it first to make it all go down easier). Even more if you drink a lot or really toxic drinks. Like, I find cheap beer gives much worse hangovers than expensive ciders, for example. But hangovers seems to mostly be caused by toxicity and the painful sensation in your head when your brain cells shrink from dehydration.

Also, have no one on this board discovered how useful the detoxiant properties of Vitamin C powder can be to aid withdrawal or really any symptomps of toxic drugs? It's about the most powerful detoxiant out there (I like Mixed Ascorbates). Just putting a small amount on a spoon and into your mouth will make you feel your brain cells "light up" as it immediately hits them and give you a sense of well-being that's hard to explain (like the lack of well-being from a hangover is hard to explain).

Very good natural antidepressant and regular drug users should use at least 5-10 grams a day.
