Amphetamine effects changing over time?

I've been prescribed Adderall IR 30mg since 2010. Since then i've noticed a change in the effects, medicinal and recreational alike. In 2011 I was taking these pills recklessly and in very large doses with no regard for restraint. usually 60-80mg every dose and re-dosing around 2 hours later

Back then I remember the tasks I'd preform whilst under the amphetamine effects were more meaningful, for example i would write poetry, i got into website designing, I started selling on ebay, and i created a photography website and learned the ins and outs of lightroom CS5 and photoshop and actually became reasonably talented with design techniques. One of the major differences from then and now is back in 2011 i would stay awake for days and days on end and when i did decide to crash i would always drink as the comedown, i would abstain from eating anything for sometimes 3 to 4 days, eating only when i was about to crash then repeating the same habit when i awoke 12-18 hours later.

Now I take 30mg every dose and make sure I'm always 4 hours apart from doses, i eat somewhat regularly and i typically don't binge for more than 48 hours without sleep. So I'm seemingly taking care of my body better than i did in the past but irregardless of this I still can't seem to ever get a 'project' going or sit down and write some amazing poetic shit or find my old streak of amphetamine induced genius that i used to have back in 2011.

Ideas?

The introduction of Adderall into one's system typically sparks the increase in "euphoric production" that you refer to. Repetitive and high dosing slowly dulls these effects.

I used to use Adderall in a similar manner, and eventually, after taking a dose, I would get this deep sedation and fog in my forehead, and it would take a great effort to turn my neck or shift my gaze (which was locked on nothing in particular). I think I was in a sleep and nutrient deprived state, while the drug was trying to release brain chemicals that were depleted.

If you are going for 48 hours without sleep, and eating very little, then I wouldn't expect any poetic projects. I suppose you should take a long break. Also there is a thread on here somewhere that lists supplements that can prevent tolerance and rub out unwanted side effects of amphetamine, which you might want to reference after you abstain from the medicine for a while.

It's just the way it is when you push the limits with amphetamine; you lose a lot of the euphoric/reward effects, sides become more and more prominent, and eventually using just isn't sustainable any more.

Your only choice is to stop using for several months and then keep it to a couple times a year.

Chelated magnesium to help with some sides, low dose NDMA antagonists for tolerance reduction/maintenence, and l-tyrosine to help replenish neurotransmitters might help you in the short term, though.

I take magnesium and calcium carbonate to help with the feel of it atm.

I've actually took a break before. The gap from the two listed time periods was a 7 month jail sentence for a DUI in which i was released august of 2012. I started my script again about a month later and have been on it since. Now i will take 1-2 weeks off every month to rest, but before in 2011 I would make my scripts meet and never take a breather in-between.

I've read that some doctors say your body eventually develops a ''constant amphetamine intoxication'' from prolonged usage.. I'm almost wondering if this is being prevented because of the breaks i take in between scripts

Thanks for your help

I've heard of l-tyrosine a lot over the past few years but have yet to try it. Worth a shot i suppose

I have no idea what these doctors would have been talking about.

Oh. Well that's basically what we've been saying in this thread.

You're only constantly intoxicacated if you dose constantly, so taking a break would help mitigate the subjective changes in experience, but only to an extent. Any frequent use is going to cause this.
