I suffer from chronic pain in my Abdominal region. I understand what it is like to be in pain everyday. I also understand how amazing opiates can feel for someone in our shoes. I too am in my 20s and unable to get a prescription for pain medication, but I would not consider heroin a solution. Besides the obvious side effects, what happens when you run dry (either from lack of money or lack of source)?
I don't think your stupid. I know how terrible daily pain is. When I was asking my doctor for pain meds, he suggested that I begin exercising and changing my diet instead. I can tell you that these two solutions don't fix the problem, but they help make it more manageable.
I am still seeking a prescription for pain medication, but I'm getting better while waiting. I know that opiates come with a lot of baggage and while I seek them, I also fear them. So should you.
My advice: 1) avoid heroine. 2) continue working with doctors. 3) work out and eat right. 4) Keep yourself distracted and busy. 5) keep smoking that weed
