Clockwork Orange Incense leaves three kids vomiting blood...

Police have issued fresh warnings to teenagers about the dangers of “legal high” drugs after three 15-year-olds were rushed to hospital vomiting blood yesterday.

The two girls and a boy were thought to have taken a synthetic called Clockwork Orange Herbal Incense earlier at a house in Blyth, Northumberland.

They were taken to hospital where they remained under observation today. They were in a stable condition.

Northumbria Police warned that “legal high” drugs often contained “potentially dangerous chemicals”.

Superintendent Alan Veitch said: “The use of ‘legal high’ drugs is not safe and can kill or have a devastating impact on people’s health.

“Anyone who misuses drugs, prescribed or non-prescribed, is putting their life at risk and people should be aware this risk is significantly increased if they are mixed with alcohol.”

Not sure what to think about this. Had a mate asking me if I knew anything about it, and it was on Radio 1 news last night. It's unusual for anything to make someone vomit blood, let alone three. Whether they also took something else, or fucking snorted it, or something, we'll never know... The news report mentioned something called DMP (if I heard right) and said it was something used by bodybuilders. This seems very confusing.
 
In reference to your DMP question, was it DMAA perhaps?

Was a legal 'dietary supplement' which has since been made illegal.
 
yes well, with the story emerging through a prism of manic parents and amoral press respectively, coughing up a little blood could quite easily morph into a veritable deluge of red vomit. smoking anything can lead to a bit of blood in the spit. its neither particularly uncommon or cause to unduly worry about


even if it was actually vomit, theres plenty of things that it could be aside from blood. even if it were blood, my guess would at first be something like swallowing of an unnoticed nosebleed whilst in a prone position, presumably concurrent with their horrirfying, shulgin-esque trip
 
Actually, I have heard reports of nosebleeds from some of the more recent legal cannabinoids. Curious but very unlikely to hit all three of them at once.

Either way these are the fourth wave of cannabinoids, ie we are three bans in, and apparently the noids are getting less and less desirable / like cannabis with every one.

This is definitely what they said. They said it was a pesticide and was used as a health supplement, by some. No idea what the fuck it's doing in a smoking blend. Apparently, Clockworld Orange has killed up to 60 people, as well! They said they couldn't ban DNP, as it's so useful as a pesticide (Wiki says herbicide). I'm going to assume the reporter got his facts completely wrong.
 
ugh, Threads like this irritate me so much. Yes your right the reporter has probably both A) Got his facts wrong and B) massively over exaggerated certain things. But still it just leaves me screaming at the screen FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WHY OH WHY DON'T YOU JUST MAKE WEED LEGAL!!??? I mean the stuff is already physically speaking one of the safest substances you can take. No ones ever died, ever, I just don't understand why the Goverment cant just bite the bullet and accept that yes, they were actually wrong about something! Surely by this point even if its purely for the reasons of harm reduction they can see its the right call? This also completely destroys the whole "Oh but if we make it legal, minors will get hold of it" These kids were 15!
 
there's a bit of a mix up in the storys i think by the reporter. a girl died a couple days ago from taking dnp, it is used by body builders for burning fat and quite dangerous if used incorrectly. anyways its unrelated to the kids puking blood.
