A woman teacher died after taking a cocktail of drugs at a nightclub called Six Feet Under, an inquest heard. Mother-of-one Sarah Mayhew, 30, suffered a heart attack in the nightclub car park after having a fatal reaction to the party drugs. Miss Mayhew took a cocktail of all three drugs in her hotel room with friends before going to the Six Feet Under nightclub.

The secondary school teacher had taken a combination of ecstasy, cocaine and mephedrone known as meow, meow. Police Inspector Denis Lewis told the inquest that the single mother became 'very ill' inside the club. But he said there were no signs she had been forced to take any of the drugs.

I'm sorry, but that was extremely irresponsible behaviour considering she had a child.

Lots of people with good jobs and normal lives take drugs on the odd occasion. It is very sad that Sarah died, and terrible for her child, but I hope the fact that she took drugs doesn't make people think badly of her. Perhaps if drugs were legalised she wouldn't have died as the ingredients would be regulated?

This article is a real "blinder". It seems to make readers blind to any sense of perspective in terms of the actually likelihood of dying from a dance drug compared to the multi fold higher risk from alcohol or tobacco. Emotional knee-jerk responses get green-arrowed and sensible comments get red-arrowed.

This is how the DM will campaign against legalisation if ever it becomes likely.

Good to see this post gaining green arrows. It's good to see some common sense cutting through the engineered emotional mind-block.

How sad that a young teacher with so much to contribute to society has died because she was obviously ignorant of the dangers of this combination of drugs! Why do we pretend that there is no need for regulation and control of drugs? How many more deaths will take place before the drug industry is taken away from criminal gangs, and the sale, distribution and quality of drugs is legally controlled!

What a stupid combination. Seriously, this is why we need more education, nobody who knew even the first thing about drugs would think that it could possibly be a good idea to combine those three chemicals.

Yea very bad combo indeed. Six feet sounds like a heroin stamp to me. Or better six feet under. Sad this woman died bc of not knowing the risks of taking such an irresponsible combo of stims.

Ecstacy, cocaine and mephedrone. I dont think she literally did all 3 at the same time, things like this sort of worry me though, I always do coke before I go out to a club then do MDMA, some coke when im in there. If id finished all my pills and someone went "want a key of mcat", Id always accept. As would most people I know, guess you just dont think in them situations,.

its always MDMA > Mcat for me, but when you start coming down a lot of people re-up on mcat gets you back in the mood.

Well if it was spread out I'd imagine it would be, if not safe, at least safer than piling them up on top of eachother. But you've got a highly cardiotoxic drug known for causing heart attacks and strokes, another drug well known for causing high blood pressure, vascular constriction, fast heart rate, and then add another, albeit fairly mild, stimulant on top of that, and you're really pushing your heart.
