In an effort to understand women, I sometimes read feminist texts, like this one which claims that women who enjoy Penis In Vagina (PIV) sex are literally insane.
My first reaction upon reading it was what a load of fucking nonsense. But the more I think about it, the more it makes sense.
The claim is, essentially, that whenever a woman has PIV, they put themselves at risk of falling pregnant, and therefore at risk of dying, because pregnancy can be fatal. And I can't argue with that. So even if a woman gets some pleasure from PIV, it is accompanied by terror.
The post goes on to say that women's terror is the reason that men inflict PIV sex on their female partners. I can't see this, and this is my biggest problem with the blog post, but maybe I'm blinding myself to the truth.
Sex does not need to involve penile penetration. In fact I enjoy non-penetrative sex a great deal, and in my own experience it's been my female partner commanding "go inside me!" that has led to the penetration, more often than not.
So I'm left in a state of confusion. Thoughts, etc? Particularly from the ladies and those who identify as female. And men who enjoy terrorising women with their penis.
