Why do i not "feel" the percocets as much as in the past (no tolerance)

I have never had an opiate tolerance and have limited experience with them. My first time i really wanted to try them since i heard a lot about them, and complained of all this back pain in the psych ward and how i was already prescribed 20mg of oxycodone and that i would refuse to do anything till they gave it to me. Surprisingly after a few days, the psychiatrist in the psych ward gave them to me to be taken once a day. My first time, i felt real light headed and warm, but then i started throwing up for several hours. As soon as i got out the psych ward, my parents agreed to take me back home to phoenix (i was currently living with an uncle in denver). My mom was having surgery the following day for fibroid tumors and my dad wanted me to take care of her in the hospital. Since i had my car again that first day i made three different doctor appointments, to try and get the drugs i wanted which i hadn't tried except the oxycodone. I made up huge stories about having withdrawal symptoms etc and again surprisingly i got valium 10mg, adderall 30mg, and oxyCOTIN 20mg. Now as we know i can go into pages of stories but i'm trying to stay on topic with the oxycodone. Anyways me and my best friend started to take the oxyCOTIN and i realized i wasn't feeling it as much as the 20mg oxycodone. That's when i found out about oxycotin being time released so i started snorting them once a week and sold the rest. I would extremely nauseous and throw up every time, and felt real itchy, too sick to even feel euphoric which is why i sold them away.

My mom had gotten out of the hospital and i noticed she had 5mg percocets prescribed which she didn't like taking. I decided i'd try less than 20mg, and try 15mg but was surprised how i still felt nausea and itchy (and not too euphoric). Eventually he hid the pills somewhere else so i lost access. I experimented with a lot of other drugs that i liked and forgot about oxycodone. When i had got my apartment a year later the only drug i did was spice (synthetic cannibus WITHOUT the jw18) I did it all day every day, i liked it more than weed because it was more intense, and made me a bit more upbeat and "tingly". I had no withdrawals or side effects from doing it for everyday for a year straight. Anyways since money was very tight, i stopped doing other drugs and only did spice, plus my dealer dissappeared. It just happened so one time, that someone from work wanted to sell me 5mg oxycodone, i decided sure i'll give it a try again. I would take one and smoke my spice, and my high was much better and more euphoric. I realized that maybe i would actually like the percocets more at a lower dose. The next day i took 10mg, and i finally felt "good" warm and not to sick, until i smoked with it and threw up. I wanted more percocets but the guy didn't want me to become addicted to them. So lalala another year has gone by and a lot has happened, i have been in a new city (kansas city) for 6 months, couldn't find anyone with any drugs, but when i finally got a job (that only lasted 6 weeks) I had some money and kept looking around. Eventually i ran into someone online talking about pnp (party n play) and asked him if he had any pills, and he said he had 5mg oxy's. I was extremely excited, but also scared because he was a meth head (and dealer) and have had very bad experiences with tweakers.

He came and got me and was the most normal appearing tweaker i met, when we got to his house i paid him a decent price for 30 5mg percocets, and smoked some meth (which is in another thread). It was weird seeing him weigh out the drugs and give them to people in envelopes that would stop by, because i'm hardly ever in these situations especially since i moved here. So the next day i took 10mg 2 of the 5mgs of the percocet (thinking it would be a sweet spot). It took a long time to kick in and oddly i didn't feel itchy at all, just a little pain and free and tired, not too much euphoria either. I was a little shocked, so i skipped a day and then took 15mg. I felt a little warm, still no itchy (which i like the itchy feeling now) and a bit euphoric but it didn't last too long. Then i decided to be stupid, and take 5 5mg of them the next day (25mg) and 10mg more an hour later, hoping to feel "real good". I felt pretty good but in the past i would of been throwing up violently for hours and feeling sick, but i didn't at all which shocked the person i was sitting next to in my class who said i would definitely get sick. Now that i took all those percocets, i think like 12 in the past week, i am trying to muster up self control to not use any for like a week, since originally these were intended to last me almost 2 months. Plus that tweaker guy is very unreliable and i can't be so confident that i'll ever get to buy from him again, so i want to save these percocets for real bad days or just occassional. I know this was a very long thread as most of mine are, and it may be interesting or it may be annoying as hell idk, but my question is why is the percocet not affecting me the way before? Don't get me wrong i like not throwing up, but i don't feel itchy or feel the good part of the high for that long (1 hour, than just pain relief). I am starting to think it could be because of my medications, which i was never on in the past.

I am on
Seroquel XR 150mg, at 6 in the evening.
Just started klonopin 0.5 twice a day (i skip a few days out of the week, and am trying to skip more)
Gabapentin 400mg 3x a day (which just ended the stimulation from my adderall high hmmm maybe it's this one that's causing this)
And just started a new anti depressant called vibryd once in the morning (on sample trials, but don't feel any positive effects so gonna discontinue next appointment)

--- On a side note, the gabapentin worked a small amount for anxiety as opposed to not being on it at all, BUT it does make everything feel very foggy and dreamy and it is not something i ever got used to, like with other meds. 24/7 I feel pretty dreamy and foggy and although i am used to it, i kinda wonder what things felt like before. I just want to know why it seems as if i could take so much more percocets now and not get sick, or be "high" as long as i would in the past. Is it normal to just feel good euphoria for an hour? And i used to get extremely itchy, now i hardly itch, not that i care but something is different. I thought i could enjoy 10mg of percocet like that one time, but i guess not unfortunately.

Tolerance
Yeah, pretty much.

Also oral dosing can be hard to replicate as it depends on how much you've eaten, drank, pH of your stomach, other drugs taken, etc etc. And if you're throwing up you're taking too much IMO, but then you may throw up undissolved pills as well.

I don't have a tolerance i haven't used them in over a year and i used to 3 times. I've never been hooked on them or even binged on them. I took 45mg yesterday felt so itchy and nauseous and not euphoric, so before throwing them away i took the last bit today 30mg, again pretty itchy and nauseous mild euphoria. I would pick morphine anyday over this shit, good thing i don't have anymore.

How do i have a tolerance, if i haven't used any in over a year and when i have ever used it in the past i never used it more than 2 days in a row and that was 5mg? You guys don't read when i repeatedly mention i don't and haven't ever had a tolerance or addiction to any drug in my life, go ahead and close this ad

Different brands off pills will so that also. If I take a certain brand of hydro or oxy, it kicks my ass and it makes me itchy but any other brand... Heaven.

Could be an absorption problem. Also, the subjective 'high' from any given substance can be different for people so: nobody knows.

You only used 5mg before on a few occasions?

You took too much. That is all. Try dosing a bit lower and find your sweetspot.

Yeah because yesterday 45mg caused me itch till i bled and made me real jittery and irritated with my eyes closing constantly, but not a nod nor euphoria. Today i just wanted to finish the rest because i'm done with percocets, and i took 30mg and again not no strong euphoria, but nausea and itchyness. I remember 30mg of morphine feeling more calm and euphoric and in terms of pain killing i thought it was more effective. I guess percocet is not my drug, since i have experimented with 10mg, than 20mg, 45mg, 30mg all with gaps in between the days over the course of a month. I liked the high of morphine better although i only did it a few times and it was over a year ago.

It sounds like oxycodone is just not your drug. Different drugs effect different people differently.

There is no such thing as a drug that produces euphoria reliably in everyone.
