Is it ever safe for girls to get high at parties/raves?

All guys? I would not take advantage... if I seen someone trying it, I'd go over, take him to the ground and wait for the local civi police to arrive. I've done it more than once, so don't say all guys.

And yeah, nor are all girls fragile little dolls. I know a decent number of chicks.who'd flip it on the guy and end up anal fisting him with mayonnaise as lube.

Honestly my only advice is don't get high/drunk to the point where you can't take care of yourself (and frankly you should be doing that anyway) and keep an eye on your drink. Also it's probably safer to go out with friends, on top of which it isn't really much fun otherwise.

not true at all! if you like the music enough, fuck sitting in all night if your mates aren't on it! I would have missed loads if I had stuck to that policy!

Not every guy is out to get you, and not everyone is going to try and take advantage. I'm not saying this for your case, but I know a couple people try and say they were taken advantage of because they were on a drug, but you should be able to control yourself unless you've gotten to the point where you're unconscious.

Like another user said, keep with your friends and just try and control yourself. As long as you don't go over the top and forget yourself then you won't have a problem and should have fun when you're out.

EDIT: Also, watch your drinks. I've known a girl who was ~35 and could defend herself, but some guy annoyed her in a bar and she took the piss out of him for something. She then didn't notice him put something in her drink and she ended up nearly passing out in the drive home. Luckily my mum was with her to take over the wheel, she didn't expect it though and started crying and freaking out a bit, which is something I've never seen that woman do before.

Fair enough. The important point was more that if you're worried you might not be responsible enough when high or drunk then you shouldn't be going alone/without anyone to keep an eye out on you.

I know that there are a lot of girls who can handle themselves, but my girlfriend isn't one of them. I love her to bits, she's my world, but her and I both realise that she's not great at knowing where to draw the line when drinking. The first time she went clubbing (before I was 18 ), she called me to tell me she'd drunk too much and was waiting for me outside some club to take her home. I went down there to get her, and a group of guys were trying to carry her to a car with one of them telling the bouncers it's his 'best mates girlfriend'. I fucking exploded when I saw it and they literally dropped her, got in the car and high tailed it. The bouncer they were talking to said "I don't give a fuck where she goes but if she's not out of here in 5 minutes i'm calling the cops." He was completely unfazed by the reality that he nearly just watched a girl get abducted.

Now she is more than happy to cop blame for that, admits she did something dumb, and learnt from it. She doesn't take any drugs, and simply isn't good at telling when the booze is hitting her and how hard until she gets floored. Ever since that night, she's only gone out with trusted male friends of ours that we know will keep her safe. I just can't go to any form of club (I live 150km away from the nearest one) as I get triggered manic in them and go off on some crazy bipolar induced night that I regret later.

My point is though, it does happen. This incident admittedly was in Kings Cross, Sydney which is fairly notorious for it's sketchy people, but i'm sure there are a LOT of places in America/England/Anywhere that are worse. These sort of scumfucks aren't the majority by any means, but there are predators in most inner city clubbing districts. To curb the female vibe of this thread, I have stories about my male friends as well, including one blanking out being led to a car to get a lift home and waking up 400km's away in a farmhouse, naked, with a 50 year old couple. He doesn't feel overly bad about it, remembers agreeing to go home with them and shit, but he does kind of consider it rape.

Honestly, I dont believe that you totally "do not have any control of your actions." I have been drunk many times but I can still remember what had happened the night before. I think its a mind set.. The girl must always have control of herself at all times. That has always been my mindset and has worked for me all the time! This is why I am so irritated because women have the capability to be strong but chooses not to! :)

I have never been in that position either. Perhaps that is why I can't relate completely. BUT some people do too much and they don't have control of their actions. THEY need to know when to stop drinking or doing whatever they are doing.

lol it's not a myth. It happened to my friend at a bar. She was with like 5 other people (including me) so nothing happened, but still she got really freaked out.
It happened to me! Seriously. And I'm a dude!! A group of guys distracted me. I didn't even go to the restroom. Anyone can drug you, it's easy. That person who you quoted sounds like a troll..

I'm convinced I got spiked before. had one pint at my end of exam celebrations and started to feel sick. went to the toilets and was straight up vomiting for an hour. ended up blacking out and nearly 2 hours had passed, had like a million missed calls on my phone. jumped in a cab because I knew I wasn't in a good way and ended up leaving my phone in the taxi I was so fucked up. not good.

Yeah my girlfriend got drugged in a bar also. Luckily nothing nefarious happened to her, but she did not have a good night by any means.

Stay with friends at all times. Don't get blitzed. Watch your drink.
The world is full of people who want to take advantage.
So unless you want be taken advantage of, take care.
