Is it ever safe for girls to get high at parties/raves?

Stick with a group of friends that have proven to be trust worthy. If that doesn't make you feel safe enough you could also include a sober person.

Uh, care to explain why? Unless a girl is blacked out, she should still be quite capable of taking care of and watching after herself... not to mention, not all guys are dicks and those that aren't will hopefully watch over their friends who are a little too high.


Not all girls are helpless creatures that need to be watched after though... there are many girls who probably party harder every weekend than you ever will in your entire life.



I'm going to move this to SL&R though, as I think it pertains to more than just ecstasy.
 
I go out by myself on occasion and I'm perfectly capable of taking care of myself when I'm high.
Guys may hit on me but they couldn't take advantage of me. I mean, it's not like they are just going to kidnap me in the middle of a club. That stuff doesn't happen. I always keep my water inside my purse and do not accept drugs/water/anything from others.
So yeah, females can stay safe.
 
At raves/events a lot of the time I go with a group of friends but we all roll/trip and branch out. I always end off going off on my own because I want to. I then meet so many new people and yes guys... alone... sometimes sitting with them alone.... omg... so dangerous! Lol no, I don't worty about it because I can hold my own and I get fucked up but I can handle my drugs. Now the girls who can't handle their drugs and I have to help from falling over... yeah they should be a little worried. I'm usually not because I have friends all over and I'm careful. I just watch my back and don't take water ect from strangers.
 
First off, saying that any guy could take advantage of you is like saying any girl could make up that a guy raped her and send him to prison and be labeled a sex offender for the rest of his life. It may be true, but it's not fair to say

Be smart, just don't drink/stone to the point that you're passing out unconscious.

Easy as that
 
I usually found myself as the Knight in shining armor helping out the fubar'd girls. Though I've found girls as well trying to take advantage of guys. (Been pressures by girls who knew I was engaged while high as hell to fuck her).
 
2 females just said they don't take water from strangers. Do you think someone is going to spike it with nefarious date rape drugs? And then carry you out of club unconscious in front of bouncers and your friends and 100s of witnesses? I always wonder when i see all these women carry drinks into bathroom. So many people are 100 percent convinced of the date rape drug myth. The real danger is drinking or drugging too much voluntarily.
 
Not accepting water from strangers is a good way to stay safe. Yeah, you don't know what could happen if you get water from someone else. What if that person has some sort of disease and then he gives you his water to drink? I don't want that disease.

I carry water into the washroom because what else am I going to do with it? I'm going to the washroom, my water is in my purse, my purse goes with me to the washroom because I'm wearing it. I also fill up my water in the washroom. So yeah, taking your water with you is important. How do I know what is happening with my water if I just, what, leave it on the table or something, while I go to the washroom??

Besides, date raping DOES still exist. It's possible to drop drugs into drinks without someone noticing. It won't necessarily make you unconscious. But what if you pass out and the guy pretends to be your boyfriend or friend or whatever to "take care of you"? Or maybe it just makes you less worried about him and you just go home with him? Those are both possible situations.
 
i dont see what the problem is

if you cannot fend for yourself at a rave then should you be going?

if its in the middle of nowhere then there will be an element of lawlessness hence the whole lets take drugs and set up a sound system vibe

most of the girls i know can take care of themselves. if you cant then maybe you should not go out. gee whizz

lol it's not a myth. It happened to my friend at a bar. She was with like 5 other people (including me) so nothing happened, but still she got really freaked out.
 
If your concern is such that you feel the need to protect your assets with iron-shod knickers from every passerby at a party or rave, I'm not so sure that you would be having a great time at said party or rave. Just don't get so absolutely mangled that you are incapable of reasonably assuring your own bodily safety. Know what would happen if someone tried to rape you at a rave? That person would get beat down in a microsecond by every decent man in sight, and have his head kicked in with high-heel spikes from the ladies.

Don't drink to pass out. Don't put yourself in a coma with GHB. Don't become one of those girls who fucks some guy amidst the cuddle puddle in a party. Yes, protect your drink, because they can get spiked.

But don't even bother going if that's all you're going to be focused on. Ruin the vibe a bit, wouldn't you. Nobody wants a hateful chick at their party.

True that!!! we are not helpless creatures!!! My rave days were awesome! I sticked to my crew at all times and we protected each other :)
 
Honestly my only advice is don't get high/drunk to the point where you can't take care of yourself (and frankly you should be doing that anyway) and keep an eye on your drink. Also it's probably safer to go out with friends, on top of which it isn't really much fun otherwise.
