Not sure I'd like that. One of the things MDPV would do is make your hearing pin precise. Music was actually hard to listen to as it hurt your ears and you were far to interested in trying to work out what room the neighbours were in by counting their foot steps. Hard to imagine why I loved the stuff so much actually.

aMT is superb for audio enhancement. Apart from being able to see the music in higher doses the stereo image seems to widen and you can pick up instruments and separate music parts easier. If you want to work out how to play a tune by isolating just the guitar line for instance I would recommend aMT. That's if you can resist getting up and dancing that is. I couldn't. =D
 
MXE (and to an extent ketamine) ruins music for me. In fact, MXE is the worst drug for auditory hallucinations for me by a long way, usually the classic "wub wub" or other tinnitus like sounds, but I always end up thinking they're real and trying to work out what it is, usually its just the PC fan or central heating boiler massively amplified in my head for some reason.

Other than music sounding amazing on MDMA, and to an extent 2C-B, I've never really noticed any auditory enhancement on any other drugs. I've tried listening to music on 2C-I and 2C-E with no real effect, I might have to see if I can track down some 2C-D now, I'm intrigued!
 
In my experience, MXE and K have a distinctly different sonic character although they both share some aspects.

The initial glutamate release produces ringing or buzzing for me, where my hearing sort of "flattens to 2D" and distant sounds such as ventilators or traffic seem to get closer and more smeared out (the ventilators whirr becomes a whompfwhompfwhompf). I get this with both MXE and ketamine.

There seems to be a highly non-linear change in loudness curve, with some weird attenuation going on in the high frequencies. Perception of phase seems massively distorted as well, especially in higher doses, where all sense of localization is gone because of the timing cues being garbled. With ketamine, these phase and loudness modulations come almost immediately after the initial ringing, although with mxe there seems to be a delayed onset of this phenomenon.

MXE overall sounds more dark/damped to me, I get heavier damping of high freqs than with ket at comparable dosages, although it is more coherent sounding than ketamine (with more accurate localization than ket, both at moderate dosages). MXE's distortion also seems to linger for longer after the main dissociation has lifted, disappearing more gradually than with ket where I'm mostly back to baseline with most senses after not too long.

Dubstep is tolerable swamp, if its the right dubstep. that screechy dubstep stuff gets on my tits. but proper dubstep through a big rig is amazing

JUst remember skrillex isn't dubstep. The stuff around at the moment people call dubstep is prety much the last lowbrow dregs of dubstep picked up by the americans as it was over and done with in the uk, recycled in their typical retarded fashion and puked out back into the mainstream. i.e skrillex.

Got some meds in me and thinking about doing some more on the screenplay but I feel like I need other writers on it and to actually ask to spend to spend time being a passive observer in the local pharmacy... I'm building myself up to ask them but I'm unsure if they'd let me. Hmmm....
Then again I might just try make some DnB or something - I can feel the creative drive slowly being sandblasted away again :(

For now, more cuppas and general internetting (aka. pissing about).

Re: Dubstep - Oh I don't know anymore. I like what I like and pass on that which I don't. But fucking hell, some of the skreechy-side fans on the dancefloor...

I'm hoping she can be as well as one could be under such circumstances. Also hoping that she gets in touch with us on here in whatever manner <3
I don't think a PM would be a bad idea B&W - Just wish her well, that yer there for her whenever she needs it and that she needn't reply if things are too hectic. I sent her a reply saying as such when she got in touch.
I do worry though... I'm good at that :|
