Effectiveness of Etizolam for Sedation During LSD Trip (?)

Hello

Just a quick question: How effective is etizolam at calming an LSD trip? For example: would 1mg Etizolam provide enough sedation if, say, a 150ug trip were to turn bad?

Many thanks in advance. :)

Depends on the person. It is best to not rely on benzodiazepines and just avoid tripping if you are worried it might go sour.

one of the best things about tripping is not knowing whats going to happen, always be prepared. But yea etizolam is pretty decent for calming you down, it wont stop the trip but it will help but it does take a little while, unlike xanax where you feel it kick in whithin 5 or so minutes.

Etilaam 1mg mouth dissolving tablets work well for these situations. I throw 3-4 under my tounge if Im feeling overwhelmed and they bring me to a nice middle ground where I still get to enjoy some visuals without the panic/fear

Thanks guys. I think the knowledge that etiz can help in potentially dodgy situations is a massive mental crutch. Knowing something is there to help out :)
Cheers again.

Yeah, just having the pharmacological security blanket is usually enough comfort to not actually need to take it. And if you're just trying to calm down a bit as opposed to knock yourself out orcompletely stop the trip etizolam is probably preferable to benzos as the ratio of anxiolytic effects to amnesiac & sedating effects is preferable. IIRC etizolam only takes 20-30min to reach peak plasma concentration so it's pretty fast acting as well.

Still the best method for avoiding bad trips is paying very close attention to set& setting

a mate of mine used 3mg to calm himself down after sniffing to much 2cb on the end of an lsd trip. they do help but i usually just use them to get rid of residual stimulation after a trip... dont usually remember falling asleep and a short time period before sleep.

I agree, works wonders. The only downside is a I feel in retrospect that when I did actually "abort" these difficult experiences with a benzo I was actually on the verge of the breakthrough I needed. Probably best to ride it out if the difficulty is only mental, however in those situations sometimes the lines between actual physical danger and "danger" to the ego become blurred.

I think if anything you should gauge your personal reaction to the etizolam beforehand.. 1mg knocks some people on their ass. Now would a psychedelic reduce the effects? That Im not sure of, but I would think that a 3mg dose to someone who never uses it and has no tolerance would be quite a lot.. I'm just going by what I've read about it, I have no direct experience at this moment.

In any case, I'm going to be picking up some etiz of my own for the future just in case for situations like these as well. its relatively cheap and effective and easy to come by. it may not be as fast acting or as good as xanax but for the price adn availability it seems like it can't be beat to me.

Can't say anything about lsd and etiz, but it works for the 2cs. Lowish doses kill the speediness while leaving the other effects, medium doses also ease the mental effects, but don't affect the visuals. Exactly how much mg is lowish and medium depends on your tolerance.
