What Are You Listening To?.....v. Next Level Beats

lol, why is new material from a big artist like that a bad thing? could it be because they are shite and their fans only like the pop hits they got rich from?

The Kinks are the fucking tits mate. I could happily put my name to any of their tracks posted. Yes all the obvious cliche ones. 'Girl', 'Waterloo Sunset'

Stay safe on your binge please. Esp. if MDPV is involved. Please. <3

Fuck it I saw this, I fucking wet myself, no joke:

Ray Davis @ Glastonbury.

Wish I'd been there.

It's good to see Ray still happy and relatively healthy, and still in fine voice. We thought about going to a recent upmarket gig of his and trying to get him to play some of the suicide attempt stuff, but I doubt he remembers that stuff now. :D

Ceres - He had a renaissance in the US after the 'drivel' I posted above, but what can be said about someone who was as prolific and wrote such classics as Ray? And he's obviously mentally 'strange'. And yeah, the fans want the classics.

It's a festival spot, remember? Not a gig where kids who barely know him from their parents record collections / oldies radio have paid to hear him promote new 'product'. It'd be self-indulgent of Ray to play all his new stuff. More to the point, why am I arguing? I'm sure Ray doesn't care one bit, as the money carries on rolling in. I don't care that much either, and I'm pretty damn sure you don't. :D

MDPV binge is still going strong, hence all the ridiculous music-critic rubbish. Me attempting to justify posting camp stuff, basically.

Worry no longer: The Cult - Fire Woman

It's all getting less maudlin now.

I'm listening to the "final" version of the mix I did this week, considering i was pretty batttered on booze, weed, lots of (for me) benzos, and pirate last night when i did it, it sounds okay, still 2 or 3 bits i could have done better.

Added a few tracks too.

Pirate Tech v.3

Ha just talking to the landlord at the localpub, on about having a disco/dance night. I told him I'd DJ, and even wear full postmans costume, and no fee.....he seems interested... :)

Luckily the crowd in a village pub in rural Devon are unlikely to be as critical as a London club crowd.

Yeah I listened to it again. Added a fair few tunes mate and the mixing is well better. I moving around again so may have missed some but this time unlike v2 there was no glaring errors I was aware of.

So here you go mate you can quote me in context this time, to my little girls new favourite DJ Postman Fat (she loves that!):

Awesome stuff mate, you owned it!

Ha =D, thanks ben, there are still a few shoddy bits in there, but I'm much happier...

You don't find the multi-genre mixing a bit of a pain? i know a lot of people will stick to one genre for a mix, and I suppose if you were playing to a particular crowd in a particular club with particular expectations that'swhat you'd do....but my mixes are really for me in the van, or for sending to mates.....

I get bored trying to do single genre mixes.

Yeah mate I do. I like breakbeat and dnb and as you can imagine it's a pain to get those two different styles to blend with such radically different tempos. Only thing is to mix the breakdowns when the beats are absent. I have a few mixes that demonstrate this breakbeat to dnb and back again once I'm confident enough or get totally gobbba and forget to give a fuck I'll post one or two.

Also I will pay money to see you DJ in your postie gear. :D
