Theres nothing wrong with online dating. Sure there are the seeds, but plenty of wondeful people who find dating hard are there as well. It shouldn't considered a last resort but rather an alternate option. And hey, at least you know they're looking!

Online dating adds an interesting avenue to people that was not available to prior generations. Regardless of whether you believe in 'soul mates' or not, online dating gives you access to potential partners you would have otherwise had 0% chance of meeting in real life. Anything that exponentially increases your encounters with the opposite [or same, in your case kayholed] sex gets you that much closer to finding someone with all the ideal qualities you're looking for in a mate. If you live in some bumfuck town with ~1000 people in it, you can't possibly expect to find 'the one' there. (or if there isn't a one, someone who gets pretty damn close.)
Whatever.
At the end of the day, you have nothing to lose. Bad decisions make for good stories.

the ones that do are butters and 45-95yrs. thing is that i'm not sure how well i come across in photo's but i do get attention in real life from men and women as i'm tall relatively fresh faced and i tend to blurt out quite a lot or sing in the street (some people reading this will be wanting me dead). basically i'm full of joy but photo's dont display that well.
the whole thing is frustrating and i've pulled before in a straight club so i just need to get the guts to go after all these buff london dudes that i keep getting the eye off on the tube or bus.

Girls generally don't like to fuck dudes who are in or associated with their circle of friends, so they go online to get laid without the fear of social stigma they would otherwise face for fucking their friend Stacey's brother or whoever. It allows them to behave like human beings about sex instead of having to pretend they are any different from males all the time, hence, plenty of hot women online.

My roommate uses OKcupid and PlentOfFish and he gets laid from those sites. But he uses it strictly for that. However, one of those girls is a very close friend of his now, a friends with benefits type relationship, but regardless, they are very very very good friends! I think that is great. It started out as just a sex thing, but quickly turned into a close friendship, with some sex involved

You get to see (in writing) what the person is all about, their interests/likes, things you might have in common with. I think it is great!

Online dating...I accidentally fell in love with someone online some years back...we met during a debate on youtube of all places...she lives half-way around the globe. We could not resolve some critical issues, and we ended the relationship...she was an Arab girl with strong African looks...and after some months passed (heartbroken), I decided to find my partner online in June last year. And I did straight away...I wanted an African Girl (ideally), and went onto a site catering to exactly my taste... The very first girl I contacted turned out to be the most lovely and kind-hearted person imaginable...we fell in love and plan to marry this year...
Skype makes it all happen...we sleep together online connected via skype... It's crazy...I know...I have fallen in love head over heels online without ever meeting the other in person...before that happened, I would have scoffed at the notion that it's even possible.,..but it's entirely possible of course. I have met and grown to love her family like my own...though they are on the other side of the globe...it's fantastic.
I think on-line dating is great for finding a life-partner from other countries especially...my Ashy-footed Habashi is just adorable...and so pretty...wouldn't look at ordinary White girls again...loool...don't take this the wrong way...my tastes simply changed after that Arabi...so online was the way to go for me...worked out very well...and frankly, it's amazing the attitudes from other cultures, in comparison to our own...makes me cringe at the thought of having to make do with a local girl...hahaha sad but true...a good wife may be found anywhere I'm sure yea yea yea...good luck with that...
