Plugging solution concentration

I'm looking into plugging cocaine so I don't end up destroying my nose but my tolerance is quite high and I can only get my hands on 10cc syringes. Is it possible/viable to dissolve as much as 500mg powder in 10cc water?

Is the density of the powder going to be a problem? I don't know how to calculate how much volume the solution will increase by.

See how readily it dissolves in water, Any amount you are going to use for plugging is most likely going to dissolve in even 1mL of water.

Just stir until the solution is mostly clear, then plug. The amount of water you want to use is up to you. I recommend anywhere from 1-4mL of water for plugging.
 
It's pretty much impossible for a substance that dissolves in 1mL of water to add another 9mL to the volume isn't it?

Indeed. How do you calculate how much volume will be added though? I just want to avoid dissolving some expensive product only to find out that it won't fit in the syringe.

Not necessarily. Some increase the volume, some decrease it.

From Wikipedia:
The apparent molar volume of a salt is usually less than the molar volume of the solid salt. For instance, solid NaCl has a volume of 27 cm3 per mole, but the apparent molar volume at low concentrations is only 16.6 cc/mole. In fact, some aqueous electrolytes have negative apparent molar volumes: NaOH -6.7, LiOH -6.0, and Na2CO3 -6.7 cm3/mole. This means that their solutions in a given amount of water have a smaller volume than the same amount of pure water.

From what I understand sodium chloride is one of the exceptions.

I noticed OP posting in Mega Threads pertaining to their query and from what I can tell the answer is quite clear in their mind.
