Harm Reduction The shakes when IVing

Hey everyone i plan on IVing later today. This aint the first time but i am inexperienced. Last time my hands were shaking so much due to anxiety? That it was physically impossible.
I plan to have a drink or 2 to calm my nerves before my next attempt. Just wondering if you have any advice for me. Thanks.
 
If your anxious about IVing....don't IV!!

Seriously dude you shouldn't have to overcome anxiety to do something that will only lead you to bad places..

Yeah this is pretty much spot on...

If you have to drink booze to be able to IV (which by the way is not a good idea. Mixing alcohol and opiates or any other CNS depressant can be very dangerous) you have no business shooting up.

If you are going to keep doing this, at least try and have somebody more experienced there to show you what to do a few more times or simply just to be a calming influence.

Injecting with hands shaking from nerves is going to lead to problems. You can destroy your veins, you'll miss shots, etc.
 
Missing the shot is my main concern. Its meth btw. So theres no dangerous interactions. I know how to do it, but staying in a vein is difficult when my hands are shaking.
Its not that im scared either, maybe its just anticipation, ill get an extra set of hands if i can.
 
if you iv into the crook of your arm, you can rest the hand you're holding the plunger down with on your forearm, thats what helps me keep my hand steady when IVing

I think i can picture what you mean, this should work great.
Folley ive done it before and i might actually do it afterwards, i just really want a rush.
 
My hand used to shake because of excitement/nerves. You just have to calm yourself down a bit before injecting. One day I just practiced hitting veins until I was comfortable enough. (Although, I wouldn't recommend it. You make unnecessary punctures and dull the needle each time.) Then when I actually had something to inject I wasn't worried. Just take it slow and make sure to register before injecting.
 
Stop, take a minute, breathe. think about nothing more than breathing for 30 seconds, and when that's done, breathe some more, and consider listening to your body's last defense mechanism against a foreign enemy: intravenous drug abuse.

I was just in a similar position as you, and it turned out that the problem wasn't that I started shaking when I was about to shoot up, the problem was that I was about to shoot up. The minute I squirted the syringe's contents into my mouth and destroyed the syringe, I stopped shaking, and a huge chain reaction of epiphany ensued, and I feel that overall, in that moment of weakness, it unlocked a strength with a light so metaphorically bright it was blinding, and I doubt I'll ever consider injecting again.
 
meditate for a minuet and try resting your hand on something while injecting to stop you from moving too much but better yet don't inject drugs it fucks up lives
 
I mean I can relate to the slight shaking when tweaking hard after shooting coke for a while, plus being incredibly excited knowing I'm about to get that rush before I hit, and often times it results in a lot of missed shots etc. That's part of the reason why those IV stim binges are so brutal.

But, you have to do your best to remain calm and remind yourself that you could do a lot of harm if you don't chill out.

Meth was made for plugging. Smoking is wasteful, iv is fiendy as fuck and oral just won't give you the rush you want... And snorting? Fuck that. A nice plugged dose though, and you'll be rushing to the moon in no time.
