What Are You Listening To?.....v.Uplifting Gabba

Been listening to a lot of stuff on the net label 'Dusted Wax Kingdom'.

Brilliant if you like laid back, glitchy, trip-hoppy stuff with the odd set of vocals. Which I do. Massively. And the majority of the stuff they put out is free! Yaaay!

Jenova 7, Daidalosone, and Tammio are all worth a look, the majority of artists put out EPs but there are a few LPs out there and a couple of artists put out 30+ track LPs that surprisingly don't end up being mostly shite.

Have also been playing their stuff plus Eno's more ambient shit, Biosphere, and all of Boards of Canada over Aire Freshener's 'thunder storm' track while I read in bed/sleep. Is stupidly relaxing plus has been giving me insane (and occasionally confusing) dreams.

Am liking your link too, take it they're on Warp from the recommended vids on the side? Love this sorta stuff cos it always feels like there's summat else to notice the second and third time through etc.

I am itching to get my USB mixer set up but my speakers also got rabbited so that's a no go at the moment, would love to play around with stuff like this.
 
Ya. He's another Warp boy. Is kinda my default setting really - if in doubt anybody on Warp/Rephlex are always worth a punt. Rarely lets me down though.

Pee Ess: "Rabbited" is probably my fave word now. Will endeavour to use it at every opportunity... although such opportunities may be slim for me. But will try all the same.

Yeah Warp are a good go to, I miss my Warp t-shirt. Damn washing machine. Another good track there anyways, given me a lot to go acquire :D Get stupidly anal about my music collection, is summat almost zen about ordering it all and whatnot
 
Ordering is not summat I'm very good at really. Unless peev'd. On the plus side this means I find stuff I totally forgot I had regularly in the strangest places =D

One recent find has been EOD. If I didn't know better I'd swear it was Dicky D in Tuss mode. Very similar sound. But that's hardly a Bad Thing. Lushy mellow acidic tunes...

The fukkin Pulse concert?!? Are you kidding, Dan?!? Fuck that. Dig up some of their proper concerts from before they were wankers. There's plenty of 'em. Given how rapidly most bands become wankers it's a minor miracle they stayed good for as long as they did. Some of those late 60s/early 70s concerts are painfully good <3
