My friend seems close to immune to drugs?

He's tried shrooms, ecstasy and MDMA.

None of them ever seem to work as well as they should. Everything works pretty amazingly for me but maybe that's because I'm only 90 lbs and 5ft tall.. He's tall but not a giant and he's not fat or something so I really don't understand why none of those drugs do much. Is it just a natural tolerance thing? A really good immune system?

Is there any way to make those drugs work better? And no he rarely does drugs so he hasn't built a tolerance.
I get high once a week on random months and I only need a small amount and they work just as well as always.

What's the problem??

It does sound like your friend had come accustom to doing the shrooms & MDMA on regular basis hence the tolerance. I would not advice doing mdma more than once every month and leave it at that even if he/she does have a good immune system (we can all go over the top when things happen in our life, or just for the sake of it)

Maybe it might help to tell him to cut down on what they is doing, not just stop it straight away but dramatically cut it down.

Nah nah, I said he rarely does drugs. Really. He's only done drugs a few times in his lifetime. Only 3 times on ecstasy, twice on mdma and 4-5 times on shrooms. Normal dose and huge gaps in between.. So that's why I don't understand why they don't work very well on him. :/

I do not know why it would not be working? drugs can have affect on people and there brains in many different ways?

Hopefully someone else might be able to get into more detail and give advice with your problem.

Do you know, with any degree of certainty, what substances you're both actually taking? I only ask because 'Ecstasy' should be 'MDMA' and therefore they're not two different drugs - or at least should not be. This could be an explanation as to why it doesn't work for your friend, because you're not taking what you think you are. You may just be more susceptible to a placebo effect.

Alternatively, like Folley asked, is he on any medications? Some SSRI's are known to inhibit the effects of MDMA.

EDIT: Just thought that maybe the doses you're giving him are too low? Assuming that you take small doses because you're small, if you were to give similar doses to a larger person they may not have the same intensity of effect. What sort of doses are you taking?

I have a very close buddy who has a similar issue like this with MDMA. He weighs about 160 or so, has only rolled about twice, second time was with me 2 years after the first, he had 200mg of very high quality dutch MDMA (I had 100mg and was on my ass), and seemed almost sober the entire night, dilated pupils and all, but relatively unfazed and bored. He said he could feel it, but not to any sort of extent that he would expect, or I would expect from an almost first time user with 200mg of such a powerful substance. Said he found alcohol or smoking marijuana much more "intense" or "euphoric both mentally and physically.

I am 99% sure he is not on any medication, have known him since 4th grade and have asked him before.

No one really expects ecstasy to be MDMA.. It's usually a mix of stuff. But anyway, nope. No certainty. We're talking different people trying the same drugs, same dose, and him always being the one that has close to no effect. Idk if he's taking anything so I'll ask him later.

Hmm maybe but having him take 2-3 capsules would worry me.. Usually 1 is good enough for everyone that I know lol
Wouldn't his health be affected that much more if the dose is bigger (even though he seems ok)?

Find out if he's on medications. Or maybe he's eating too much prior to dropping the pills?
Or maybe he's just one of those people that hasn't found his sweet spot yet.

Nope! No medication. And hm that's interesting, he usually eats quite a bit, I didn't know that could change anything. Lol yeah, maybe :P

He ought to be taking it on an empty stomach. Or at least not have anything to eat 3-4 hours before taking it. A full stomach can slow down the onset and all around mute the experience as well.

You weigh 90 lbs, and he's "tall..." So what, 130-150 lbs? If you're taking equal doses (of almost anything) either he's going to be underwhelmed or you're going to be blasted.

bet he's on anti dees or benzos.

maybe he just has experience and maturity, a little experience can go a long way.

I'm kinda like your friend... I'm relatively new to mdma but never feel it as intensely as my friends do. It's puzzling and next time I might try increasing my dose.

I like what laugh said above ^^ too. Interesting theory and one I hadn't considered before.

Is he a controlling type of person? He might be trying to "control the high". He's got to relax and let it flow--not think about it.

This is also a pretty fair comment. Set & Setting can play a large part as well. The MDMA come-up can often be quite subtle until you're blasted in the face but in the wrong setting that blast can definitely be nullifed.

Are you a girl? Sorry but it's a known fact ALL drugs affect girls more than guys. Everything from Alcohol to Ecstasy.

Also, size and weight have far less difference with psychoactives than drugs like alcohol which go by body weight. But if you're a girl, everything is going to hit you much harder at the same dosage. Girls are lucky in this aspect IMO. Enjoy it.

No offense if you're not a female I just typically don't see males 90 lbs 5 feet unless they are very very young.. too young to be doing MDMA.
