Alien Resurrection is by far the worst, imho. Some very dodgy CGI in that film as well, though it's not as bad as Prometheus, even if it's CGI is somewhat better ;)

Can't beat the first Alien...II and III are great films...But the original is the fucking original.
 
love the second alien film

how can you be watching prometheus again, surely that film when tripping is just a dark headfuck or something

Alien - Stone. Cold. Classic.
Aliens - Stone. Cold. Classic.
Alien3 - Somewhat controversial but <3 the way Fincher takes it back to the original in style and adds greatly to the back story along the way (alien birth/death dive sequence <3)
Alien Ressurection: Can see how folks didn't get on so well with this one too but is lushy visually (allowing for shonky CGI of the time) and is a worthy if somewhat by-the-numbers addition.
Prometheus - Pure class on the visuals and back story front. Doesn't quite hang together as a film in it's released version but have high hopes for DC's and sequels. Needed the "reboot" (ugh - I know. Hurt me to call it that too :o) to stop the series becoming formulaic.

Overall, no true dunces in there. Gotta take into account how outstandingly good the frontrunners are before pissing on the also runs. They're still decent but very few films can stand up to the first two.

I dont mind that he is a bad actor( which he is) he just makes some terrible movies

The one I really liked of his was " A good Year" which was quality cos of his repeated " Lance Armstrong" jibe
Who knew that a few years on how prophetic it would be, lol
 
Gladiator is brilliant

ahh the terminator films, first 2 are fucking amazing, the future scenes blew my away the first time i watched them, shame they fucked the rest of the films up, should have made them future war stylee http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4cta8KBPAjE

been watching so many good HBO tv show stuff i havent watched any decent films for ages

A Beautiful Mind will change your opinion about him. Seriously, he's really not worth giving up on IMO.
 
Never seen The Lion King, probably never will.

Terminator is quality. First two anyway. Well, mostly the first. Sequel is kinda like how Aliens is to Alien only not quite as good. I won a copy of the vid in a competition when it first came out dontcha know. Was worth about £100 at the time would you believe :D

Gladiator appeals to me cos have always been a fan of swords 'n' sandals stuffs. Have a feeling it may be a tad too Braveheart for my tastes though :|

(i've never seen braveheart either but know i'd loathe it so not that fussed)

I really liked 'The Insider'.. was a film that I randomly stumbled across. I guess this should be in the Movie thread though..
