Benzos Will phenibut or alcohol stave off benzo WD's?

Im possibly going to go into benzo wd in the next few days and I dont know a whole lot about GABA receptors. I was wondering if someone could tell me if alcohol or phenibut will stave off benzo WD's?

I dont know what to do, I just hope that these benzos do come round but if not ive been taking enough to possibly seizure so I need to find an alternative. Any ideas on what I can do?

Phenibut has personally worked for me to starve off benzo wd for a week or so. Dangerous stuff though, so please use caution with it.

I would think so, it fixes other related concerns for my like alc hangovers, the very mild kratom withdrawals etc, and its baba so it should work for benzos, not sure to what level of effectiveness though. I use 2g powder. The biggest issue with this stuff for me is that it can lead to irresponsible behavior. Like alcohol it makes me fiend for other drugs, like meth, and go get them without any second thought.

Its a shame cause the stuff is great for mood lift, motivation and music appreciation.

Oh and please dont drive on this stuff. Goes without saying but I swore i would mention this in any phenibut thread cause it can catch somebody off guard, so FYI.

Its sneaky but it wrecks your brain just like alcohol but you dont notice it since there is not feeling of intoxication.

I almost died twice on this stuff driving, my two worst near accidents where on this stuff and i only used it 5 times or so and thats after years of driving on tons of other worse drugs like mda/acid/etc without equal near deaths (i dont do that anymore obviously, im just glad to be alive now though).

In all seriousness im more scared to drive on this drug then anything else (besides opiates). I still dont quite understand it and cringe at my two experiences. Somehow it makes you simply forget about driving like simply going straight through a red light without even realizing (my passenger had to tell me and ive never done this before. The other time i noticed mild distraction like lighting a cig can cause you ti randomly forget about steering and swerve dangerously.

I think it interferes with your automatic/muscle memory driving ability, badly. Its weird. But even when very drunk this does not happen or at least not anywhere near to the same level of extremity.

Anyway, just a warning. If it weren't for a very quiet day on the roads I would have been fucked skipping that light on Christmas day. eek.

As you know stopping Benzo's suddenly can potentially be fatal. If I were in your position I would find a research chemical that has a benzo analog, perhaps something along the lines of Etizolam (marketed under the brand name Etilaam, Etizola, Sedekopan, Pasaden or Depas). I know in the UK they are available online as a research chemical - and have done wonders for me when I've been in a similar situation to yours.

I see you're in Australia, so not too sure on whats available. But worth checking out what I mentioned.

Benzo's hardly helped with phenibut withdrawals..

Benzo's = GABAa and Phenibut = GABAb.. but saying that, it may help with the symptoms.. Anxiety, depression, insomnia.. Phenibut is great for all 3.

I'm quite sure Alcohol is not a good idea when withdrawing from Benzos. As far as I'm aware Alcohol lowers your seizure threshold.

Most people who suffer seizures explain it exactly that way, most the time the only reason they know they actually had a seizure is from the feedback of the other people in there company.

Personally I wouldn't risk using anything that increases the risk of seizures whilst withdrawing from Benzos.

Phenibut shouldn't, as GABA-A (benzodiazepines) and GABA-B (phenibut) have little to no cross-action. GABA-B agonists (phenibut) are effective at controlling anxiety and depression, so it's very possible that it may help in that respect, but it will not protect you from seizures/excitotoxicity.

Alcohol however is a GABA-A agonist more-so than anything else, so it will hit the same receptors, but it would only elongate the withdrawals, and you may end up with worst addiction/withdrawal than you had in the first place.

The best option for benzodiazepine withdrawal, if a possibility, is to get on gabapentin or pregabalin, which will take away a significant proportion - if not almost all of the withdrawal symptoms.

The ideal option is to get more benzos quickly and do a proper very gradual taper off. If you've been using them for a long time you could be in for a nasty and prolonged withdrawl syndrome otherwise.

they will help, but at the end of the day you'll still be dependent. bzo w/d is serious business, so I always recommend tapering under the supervision of a doctor.

Coming off a serious benzo habit any other way than under a doctors care or in an inpatient detox facility, can be very very dangerous.
