A friend recently encountered twenty tabs of what was supposedly "incredible" blotter acid. Person who sold it to them provided first hand reports of people having life changing trips after taking 1 tab (conversations over the phone with their friends, etc...). This particular friend would be considered a novice to acid, having only taken it about 4 separate times (and only once really tripped with intense visuals and the whole deal). On the blotters themselves you could see little tiny crystals (not entirely sure if this is indicative of clean or dirty / potency?).
In context, my friend took 5 mg diazepam about an hour before the acid to smooth out the trip (no diazepam tolerance). My friend took 1 tab after having been told this was strong stuff (20:30). My friend waited for about an hour and a half for the visuals and "tripping" to begin (22:00), but experienced only the familiar body and head high (with slightly increased intensity of color, barely noticeable, possibly imagined). Within the next 2 hours my friend took 2.5 more tabs, spaced about an hour apart each. No increased effect was noticed (no visuals, simply a continued body and head high). Frustrated, at the 4 hour mark (00:00, from the original first single blotter dose) my friend took 3 tabs at once, hoping that taking this amount would kick start a powerful trip. No such luck, the next 4 hours were spent feeling a more intense head and body high, but no visuals. Eventually my friend gave up, and went to bed. Pupils were GREATLY dilated, and yet no noticeable visuals.
His question is - considering that there have been first hand accounts of this acid being strong and visual, what could have caused this lack of visuals? He has heard that diazepam can be a trip killer, but such a low dosage and other contradicting accounts of it's synergy, as well as a total dosage of 6.5 blotters in a 4.5 hour period makes him doubt it was the diazepam itself. He is curious about the stacking effects of acid - for instance, does spacing out tabs over an hour or more increase the potential for a visual trip? Does taking a 3x larger dose 4.5 hours into the original dose be weakened by the very fact that LSD is already in his system? Should he suspect the quality and potency of the acid itself? If doing these blotters again, should he instead take 3 to 3.5 at once (or more) to guarantee a visual trip (a visual, spiritual trip is the ultimate goal). Any suggestions?
Thanks for your advice!
Anybody have an insight / suggestions? He'd really appreciate it. He's trying his best to safely establish a way to have an intensely visual / spiritual LSD experience.
