First time dxm, What to expect, how much to take.

Well Ive decided to give dxm a try, and i wanted to know how much to take (No prior psychedelic/dissociative experience) i don't want it to be to intense but at the same time i don't want it to be underwhelming./

And what thing should expect to feel/see/hear?

First off: Only take DXM only products. No Coricidin or anything with other active ingredients.

Then you do an allergy test with 30-60mg since some people lack the enzymes needed for metabolizing the DXM. If you feel stronger effects with that dose, don't take more because it could lead to severe health problems.
If you don't feel anything from that small of a dose, start off with maybe 200-300mg for a light to medium trip. Better search for a DXM mg per kg body weight calculator.

^ agree with this. And be careful if you are using cough mixtures, they make your shit runny drinking the amounts required!!

Thanks for the help on dosage, but could you explain what thing to expect for the duration of the trip? Maybe things i should be prepared for?

I have and idea of what to expect.
 
Well you can drink the mixture but just use the advice from me earlier post. And as @DickTate said, check out the other threads! There is a massive "Big and Dandy DXM thread". google it.
 
I find dxm to be rather uncomfortable, and it makes me physically I'll for the next 1.5-2 days or so. Have you ever used a dissociative before? Dxm reminds me of smoking PCP when you ate drunk. Everything is a neaseating 'earthquake' for the entire duration of the experience.

Also check something like Micromedex for contraindications!

pure DXM was the worst drug experience of my life...while i hope you have a good time i personally wouldnt recomend it, and if you do have a bad time dont think all psychs / dissociatives are as phyically taxing and mentally unrewarding as DXM can be

should add that some people love the stuff...each to thier own but i'd rather punchmyself in the crotch than do it again
 
Only question i have left is this a good choice for my first "trip" on something?

Going to have a friend along with me for the ride if anything goes wrong he will be there to help keep me chill.

And no to the post below his only thing dissasoiative ive ever tried was a few hits of nitrous but im sure thats far from a dxm trip, wasnt going for anything over high first plateu or mild 2nd. hopefully ill enjoy it, ill probably get a hold of some sort of benzo for if i get any anxiety from it.

Going to go with just DXM, not going to mix anything else even weed with it. Maybe a beer or something since that Erowid thing i read said it can help with anxiety if any arises (Probably a better choice then a benzo).

Going to also talk with a friend of mine that has Dexed quite a few times about it before hand.

^ benzos would better suit your needs than alcohol. Dxm potentiated alcohol and might make you violently sick and induce vertigo bc it has such a wide array of pharmacological action. True 1,4 benzodiazepines should have absolutely no pereferal effects and it might actually easy the stomach pain/vomiting that you may experience.

Why not just order some MXE and a scale and make your first dissociative experience, right?
 
I always felt like mushrooms were the best first psych experience.

At least for me it worked out, its hard to have a bad mushroom trip at the right doses imo

dxm just made me feel spacey

What benzos in particular should i use, what to avoid?

And about the MXE I'm a little weary of the whole RC thing, one that they are RC's and two that vendors can be shady.

Yea Ive heard that about shrooms to from a couple of friends, but the shear fact that i wanna vomit when any type of mushroom nears my mouth prevents me from this.
 
I never found the taste overly bad but I guess every strain is different
 
DXM is pretty fun however if you do to much your first time you are going to have a bad time. The adult robo gels are a good source of dxm and should have no other active ingriedients so make sure you read the labels also use google to find a dxm dosage calc. Also id limit dxm use to the max of once a month because of the toll it takes on your body. Be careful and stay safe!
