CBD is the chemical in Cannabis that I want.
THC bothers me but I desperately need the CBD in the weed.
I am making this topic to discuss and find ways to get the CBD with little or NO THC.

circle-of-cannabinoids.jpg

First thing I am researching is Vaporising temperatures, It seems THC is lower on the Vape scale.

Eatting Raw weed? Not sure if this would work.

Dixie Botanicals doesn't ship to where I live (US ONLY) and they seem to be the only company making it.

Research chemicals, Its about -NO PRICES- per 1 MG of the chemical? I have no idea how much I am supposed to take
if i order it.

Anyone have knowledge on this subject that can enlighten me please?

What's wrong with THC?

That's a separate discussion, mang.

seeatom, what exactly are you looking for? Like, ways to extract CBD only from weed, or strains of cannabis with little-to-no THC content but high CBD content, or just like an all-encompassing thing on CBD?

Personally, I haven't got the slightest clue how to go about doing a CBD extraction. There is a relatively recent development with high CBD/low THC strains, though. There's a thread on it here in CD, I'll link to it in a minute.

[EDIT: http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/threads/664811-New-marijuana-with-only-CBD-or-cannibidiol-and-no-THC]

Also, I remember someone posting a seemingly all-encompassing chart of the vaporization temperatures of the most sought after chemicals in cannabis. I'll see if I can find it and link to it for you.

[EDIT: It was in the CD Directory, man. Good looks to Chainer for making that shit retardedly easy to find. I'm putting it in NSFW tags because it's a long post, don't want to take up too much space:

Im not sure if this has been posted before but I havent seen it and see alot of questions about vaporizers, and people wondering why they dont feel the same high from vaporizing over smoking, and have wondered the same thing myself. Hopefully others will find this list as useful as I have, setting your vap at the temp for thc isnt high enough to get everything, which alot of people dont know. Depending on is anyone else finds this useful maybe it could be stickied or something to prevent the same threads being started again and again about vaporizers not being the same.

Knowing my use with vaporizers I can tell that at certain temperatures a good amount of CBD is composed. It also depends on the strain being used. Vaporizers that are built to go at specific temperatures work really well for revealing a lot of cbd and less of thc. Going off topic kind of, my sister bought this nice vaporizer that heats up perfectly and after one nice slow/low-pressure hit from it, makes a coughing fest of beautifully condensed tasting vapors. Before that we had a vaporizer called "rust bucket" that was roughly used, but near the end of it's last puff it ripped like crazy with bowls packed to the top, I can say I got a nice dose from that.

Srry if I rambled I didn't take my adhd meds

But he wants the CBD without the THC.. And the thc comes first (due to the temp it vapes at)

try and get your hands on : (in order of highest CBD) Harlequin, CBD x Haze , Uk Cheese

I am also after a high CBD strain. Did you know its also apparantly found in flax ?

The reason why I asked is because I don't think many people would care for CBD on its own.

Why not? It has anti-inflammatory, anti-anxiety, anti-psychotic properties. I recently read somewhere that it also has neuroprotective properties, i think a nice high CBD medical marijuana strain after being on ecstasy or at raves would be a great idea.

Cool info about flax, thanks for that!

I wish I could just find high quality CBD oil and take that instead. I have stopped getting altered from cannabis for over a month now and I feel a lot more balanced, but I'm noticing the absence of its benefits on my physical body. I wish I could use its medicine without getting high.

I tend to agree, it just felt like the very beginnings of the derailment of a legitimate thread... plus I think I was already irritated that day and unintentionally just, like, dismissed your comment. My B.

On a side note, I think it's funny how seeatom was a one-hit wonder in this thread. Sometimes I don't know why I bother trying to fully answer (or even respond to) most Greenlighters questions... It's the microscopic optimist in me, I guess.

Well I'm glad you did Jibult. This thread was the first result on a google search for "from:bluelight.ru CBD". I need CBD medicine for pain relief after a failed spine fusion surgery. I don't want to take the oxys any more. And while I've been researching and trying to find some relief with CBD for 2 months, I still haven't had any luck.

I will share a couple of my findings:
1. CBD oil by itself may not solve the health problems you want it for when it is completely isolated from THC and/or the rest of the plant. I bought the pills and tincture from Dixie Botanicals, which as far as I can tell is the only company selling CBD to non-legal states (ex. North Carolina), and they provide NO PAIN RELIEF for me. As far as helping with cancer/crohns/AIDS it may work wonders; but from what I've read and my experience, CBD by itself doesn't help with pain. It needs to be combined with THC. I've been taking the Dixie Botanicals along with vaping quality buds and it may have some use there (additional pain relief, less "high") but it's hard to tell because...I'm high, and the effect seems to be minimal in that direction.

2. Due to difficulty in finding the medicine and what I believe will be a lot of $$$ (maybe $10k/year) even if I am able to find good meds, I am beginning to think I need to grow my own. I'm planning to fly to a legal state on the west coast and buy some different high CBD strains unless I can find a place that will ship seeds to me. But, the plan if I'm able to grow my own is to make oil/tincture from it that many people say is like a miracle drug for pain. Like this: http://beyondchronic.com/2011/06/how-to-make-pot-painkiller-pills/

beyondchronic.com has been really helpful for me trying to figure this stuff out, you can also look for Rick Simpson Oil on youtube for recipes and for the user "storm crow" on the grasscity forums for more than you could ever want to read about medical cannabis.

Now I've just gotta figure out how to get seeds, how to grow a lot of plants without going to jail, and wait 8 months for the plants to grow before I can have some natural medicine. Maybe I just need to rent out the house and move to SanFran.

Salutations Captain.Heroin,

...I don't think many people would care for CBD on its own.

I would, just ask me and my answer could be that i revendicate my right to make mistakes: who can learn and evolve in real-life without making errors?

So, of course i'd be willing to experiment with High-CBDs, given an opportunity!

I wish I could use its medicine without getting high.

You can: it's called "Raw Cannabis Juicing", as i recall... Just don't heat it, or decarboxylyze it for that matter. I'm not pretending the spectrum of effects will remain unchanged when compared to your favourite consumption method, evidently.

I just wish it had links to the sources.

I see nothing hidden, lets bet they know their stuff.

=D

excellent source; thank you.

id not been to a rave in 6 months, i ate a ton of flax seeds then over the next 2 days i felt more outgoing and started looking online at events and went out that weekend

The reason why I asked is because I don't think many people would care for CBD on its own.

People with schizophrenia/psychosis/general paranoia etc. or maybe even just anxiety.

I can vouch for some types of black hash having a nice amount of CBD. Got a mate whose schizophrenia can get way worse from the tiniest bit of weed (I mean really fucking bad you honestly have no idea how bad) but a bit of nepalese or afghani black hash just chills him out and quietens the voices down a bit.

Not that the OP is ever going to read this thread ever again.

+1 for the anxiety and schizophrenia, i have even seen write up online to say that CBD is not only good alleviating schizophrenia it can possibly even cure it (short term maybe)

The truth is though, all these greedy pharmacy companies push their fat faces in and RX every pill under the sun and its all about £££

To think people suffer needlessly at the hands of schizophrenic violence and mindfuck, be they a child or a grown man....

The type of hash people get in the western world is now far more likely to come from plants grown in indoor grow rooms and as such, it is much less likely to contain significant quantities of CBD.

Also many (perhaps most) of the strains sold as having high CBD levels have not even been tested, and as such the claim is more of a marketing ploy than being based on fact.

Take a look at this video of Jeff Ditchfield from Bud Buddies going around interviewing the different seed companies about CBD. It's quite an eye opener.
