Benzos How to put Xanax (alprazolam) powder on blotter?

Hi everyone.

I is wondering how to place 1 gram of powder Aprazolam onto blotters. Wondering soluability, etc. I was thinking about dissolving the powder in Everclear 80 proof alcohol, then lay it on a sheet of blotter paper. Would this work? Anyone have any experience trying to do this? Never done this before though so wondering the best and easiest way to go about this. Any information at all would be awesome!

Question, why do you want to put alprazolam (Xanax) onto blotter? Alprazolam is absorbed very well sublingually as is and needs no alteration for any reason.
 
i would like to put xanax on a blotter in the hopes of making it less bitter cause if i take the pills sublingually i gag and usually throw up

This is what you're looking for.

I would be very hesitant to use Everclear, or any other form of Alchohol, as I've never actually seen the solubility of alprazolam in alchohol posted anywhere. Without knowing the solubility (I'm rather sure that it's not too soluble in ethanol either..), putting this powder on blotters would be possibly dangerous and/or wasteful.
 
as far as i know, alprazolam is only very sparingly soluble in any alcohol, much less so than most of its ilk.
 
1. How do you know you have pure alprazolam powder?
2. How are you even going to handle it safely?
3. Why won't liquid glycol measurement work, instead?

your volatile solvent of choice will probably be dichloromethane or ethyl acetate
 
It is pure alprazolam powder, had it tested. Since Xanax is active at such a low dosage (0.5mg?) I was trying to figure out the safest way to distribute 1 gram evenly on blotters. I have had Xanax on blotter paper before I am just wondering how to DO it. I wanted to make it so every 4 blotters would equal 2mg, in other words every square had a dosage of 0.5 on it. So would propylene glycol be best for this?
 
Because I have a gram of it in powdered form, placing it on blotters for convenience purposes.
 
I was about to post a new thread but I'll just bump this. I've been looking for a while and cant find the right info I need. I need to know 2 different solvents for alprazolam.

One I need for oral/sublingual dosing, something that isn't toxic at all, and I'm thinking my best bet is everclear. I'd like to know if anyone can quote me the solubility of alprazolam for everclear. I want to make a solution I can accurately dose with a typical insulin syringe, but believe me, I dont have any desire at all to IV xanax. I'm hoping I can get 10-20mg per Ml of everclear, so I can dose with 10-20 units under the tongue. If I cant get it this concentrated that is OK it just complicates storage issues a little for me.

Also I'd like another solvent that would have very high concentrations, hopefully 20mg/ml or better. For this one I want to be able to squirt it onto watercolor paper or candy etc. I want it to be able to evaporate easily as well. I've heard propylene glycol is good as well as Isopropyl alcohol. I've heard 20mg/ml is possible with iso but can I do that with just 91% iso? I'd like to know maximum solubility in iso if warmed and shook, and whether or not it will come out of solution at room temp.

All the info I'm finding is 2-10 years old and hopefully a few more people have learned some new data since then.

Basically I have a few 10ml vials and would like to store it all in them, as they are airtight and quite convenient. I dont plan on selling any of this at all, I am no dealer and have no desire to sell any of this at all, but I'm getting a lot more xanax than I'm comfortable with, as I am terrified of getting addicted. I do plan on giving away a decent amount to 2 or 3 really good friends and want to make sure they stay safe and dose accurately. Personally last time I had pure alprazolam I just eyeballed it with good results but I'm pretty reckless with my own safety. My friends are a total different matter though, I'd rather not put them in a xanax coma/blackout accidentaly.

Also can anyone who has had pure alprazolam tell me any helpful info? I do trust my source but I'd like to know what I should expect it to look like if it really is as close to pure as he claims, I'm fairly new to benzos in general and know there is probably quite a lot I dont know yet, and experience is the best teacher, in my experience lol

You eyeballed pure alprazolam with good results. Hmm.

Anyways, the no business remark, I really mean that from a good place. This has disaster written all over it.

Some Basic Observations:

-make an investment in a reliable milligram scale (very high AVERAGE customer ratings, high number of ratings), this should run you two figures easily (can't specify further due to price discussion)

-Reconsider using rubbing alcohol as a solvent. Alprazolam is hardly soluble in alcohol, and I've found that using alcohol is inconvenient anyways due to the large volume of alcohol required, which is what might make pharmaceutical quality propylene glycol a much more appealing solvent. It's a lot less volatile and probably a better solvent overall for your application.

-Don't work with a concentration that is too strong for you to be comfortable with. IMO 10-20mg/mL of ANY solvent is way too concentrated and poses liability risks. Especially since you're going to be giving this to your friends and none of you seem to have much experience with benzodiazepines (let alone bulk alprazolam), it's probably for the best to try to achieve a (weaker) concentration of 2mg alprazolam per mL propylene glycol.

Don't just dump your bulk container of alprazolam into a bigger container of solvent and try to figure out the concentration of smaller volumes in this likely non-homogenized solution.

-Go to every length you can to learn about proper homogenization.

-If you're "terribly afraid of getting addicted" reconsider this whole thing and get actual alprazolam tablets / Xanax which have been FDA approved for their indication and quality control.
 
Tricomb is right, this venture is going to end badly and smells like preparing a drug for re-sale. I know you said thats not the case and I apologize if your telling the truth but that is how your post comes across. Without lab grade solvents and equipment (like milligram scales) this likely going to go wrong and with alprazolam being so potent, it will only take a small error in your tech to hurt someone. The safest way and really the only way you should consider is to buy good quality (cant stress that enough, cheap scales= bad measurements) mg scales and measure out the alprazolam into empty gel caps. Also take the time to read up on correct substance handling techniques, like they use in pharmaceutical labs. It may seem like overkill for just measuring drugs but with drugs active in small doses, small slipups= pine boxes.
 
I do have a mg scale now, dont care for resale either, and it wont be the xanax that kills me lol, anyway, there are a total of 3 people including me who will be taking this, unless they give any away, and its not like im getting 10 grams of this shit. Oh well found all the info I care for elsewhere, thanks for the effort folks
 
One gram is more than enough to kill you. Ya, you can take loads of benzos without dying but human LD-50 isn't measured, and I'm sure you wouldn't survive the doses listed for rats as it takes arsenic to kill those mother fuckers.
