Do you use Adderall? I need a favor.

I have a prescription for adderall XR 20mg and I keep the container in a ziplock inside my school bag. The container spilled and all all the caps broke open and now all I have is broken, empty and partially filled caps and a bunch of loose beads.

Can anyone who also has a scrip for 20mg XR weigh the contents of a cap and let me know what it is? I have a pretty good idea of how full they were, but I'd rather not mess around.

You mean the manufacturer. If it's called "Adderall XR", (as opposed to "amphetamine-dextroamphetamine extended release") then isn't it either the original or an authorized generic (authorized generic meaning it's exactly the same?)? That is at least how it used to be with Adderall in the US.

Anyway, mangletron, this is not going to work unfortunately. Adderall XR contains 2 different types of beads, so even if you did have a a scale sensitive enough to accurately measure the precise quantity of beads, and someone on here could actually accurately weigh the beads in their Adderall for you, you're not going to get even distribution of the 2 kinds of beads. I suggest you go to the doctor and take in the broken caps and explain what happened.

Wow. I did not know about the 2 different types of beads. Sometimes I divide pills in half and use gelatin capsules. Even my psychiatrist said that was fine.

If you're just dividing one capsule in half it probably doesn't matter I think, as the 2 types of beads would probably not be uneven enough to make that much of a difference, I think you'd still get roughly half of each type. One type releases the Adderall more quickly than the other, so I think it could be a problem in the OP's case.

idk no scale, but i know the beads are always filled exactly to the top of the skinny half of the capsule.
