New marijuana with only CBD or cannibidiol and no THC

I would love to get my hands on some of that. Im a med user and actually use it for medical reasons (crazy right!?!?) and i want much higher cbd. It would be awesome if i could get my hands on some pure or as close to pure cbd extract as i could get. Non psychoactive and anti inflammatory. Perfect medicine.

People have this whole high THC= high medicinal properties backwards in my opinion. The best medicine is the one that has as little side effects as possible and has a very specific action. I hope more research is done and pushed forward for these types of MMJ advancements. Not all med users want to get high.

I suggest you grow some landraces from the Real Seed Company. Specifically the charas varieties.

I think they still have Lebanese which is the closest they have to an 'indoor' strain. There will be plants with mostly CBD.

fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck not shipping to the US

The only other option I would consider are strains from the CBD crew. They are all 1:1 THC:CBD though, not mostly CBD. If you selfed a female though you could get a mostly CBD F2 individual. There would be a bit more variation in taste, smell, size, flowering time etc. but it would be manageable.

sounds pretty kool

i mean i like to get high

but it'd be kool to mix w/ regular weed

I thought the same thing when I read this thread.

I always viewed the best medicines as the ones that don't just bring me back to baseline, but take me out of the valley and up into a peak. Those medicines are awesome. I do understand what you're saying, though.

I once picked up some stuff from a dispensary that was something like 7-8% THC, 16-19% CBD. It did not get me "stoned" at all, but it was extremely anxiolytic. I heard it was also good for people with nerve pain, but I can't verify that. Wish I could remember the name of the strain.

There is a local dispensary with a strain called R4 with 14% CBD by weight and little to no THC. I'll have to buy an 8th and let you guys know how it feels etc. I'm particularly interested in the effects on the hippocampus. If I recall correctly, CBD does something that reduces the memory loss / side effects of THC. So maybe a CBD sesh would clear up all that THC fog. Not to mention the antidepressant, blood pressure lowering, anti-inflammatory effects.

I feel like weed has been bred and cross-bred so many times that with the super high levels of both THC and CBD it would take a looooong time to breed the THC out.

Sure you could use the same basic formula to use high CBD low THC plants to create one that's all CBD, but I feel like that would take a long ass time and many many generations of plants

^ not really, no. It wouldn't take longer to create a high CBD plant than any other strain.

In fact, breeding in the CBD traits is incredibly easy. It's all the other characteristics that takes the time, but then that's no different to what's required in any other breeding project so it's nothing new.
