It has happened to me,and all I can think is my body is trying to fight the stuff in my lungs...I've been smoking small amounts of the glue from the Mylan patches.

Have you actually used a thermometer to determine that you actually have a fever? I think that it could be something different, when I use opiates I get warm and overheated very easily. If I am wearing a sweatshirt as soon as I shoot up the sweatshirt comes off. I tend to run very hot when I am under the influence of opiates, I think that is potentially what is happening to you. Since you are smoking it you are becoming under the influence extremely fast so you could be feeling the heat quickly. If you used a thermometer and are actually running a high body temperature than I'm not sure what the problem is, but you should probably stop smoking the patches if that is the case. I also hope you have a opiate tolerance and are careful with your dosing (as much as you can with smoking fent).

Yeah,I took my temp,100.6...I have a high opiate/opioid tolerance,so Idk wtf is going on???Of course I have to have an unusual symptom...Story of my life.

You likely have an infection, that is by far the most common cause of fever. It's very possible the foreign particles you inhaled irritated your lungs and made you more susceptible to infection or on their own provoked an immune response. *I'm assuming of course you are not just getting a fever from opioid withdrawal?

If you are measuring your temperature in your mouth then a fever is considered anything over 99.5°F. If it gets above 104°F you should seek medical attention, and you should also seek medical attention if it lasts for more than 3 days.

If your fever stays under 102°F and you have no other symptoms, (and doesn't last too long) you probably do not need treatment. Drink lots of fluids, get lots of rest, and don't smoke any fentanyl. Smoking that glue/plastic cannot be good for you.

One thing that concerns me is that you might have other symptoms that are just being masked by opioids. It might be wisest to see a doctor to be on the safe side considering your fent smoking may be a factor.

I can definitely relate to what Mass08 said...and on top of that, fentanyl made me run even hotter than other opiates. I remember the first time me and my buddy picked up a box of duragesics in the middle of winter we would be outside in our boxer shorts nodding out because we were so hot. And the bad part about the fent was I would start overheating BEFORE I reached the point I wanted to be. I never actually measured my temp but my girl felt my head and agreed I was really hot, so I don't think I just just "feeling" hot, it actually made us run hot.

And we weren't smoking it, we put the gel into saline nasal sprayers and did it that way.

well fever broke, and I feel better.I think it was an immune reaction, because I felt sick as well.Skin hurting,headache...Thanx for responses.
