Heroin First time heroin user

Hello,
I m am going to be trying heroin for the first time today by route of insufflation. I will be starting out with tiny matchstick head looked because as I said this is my first time. I am a seasoned user of opiates for the past 3 years ( usual dose of oxy is about 20mg ). I was wondering what I should expect, if the amount I'm starting with is a good amount, and also any other information you can give me. Please do not tell me how bad it is because I already know lol. Thanks guys!
 
biggest thing to consider, in regards to the strength of heroin, 20 mg's of OC ain't shit. and the potency of heroin varies so widely there's no definitive answer anyone can give you, and i doubt any of the heroin-experienced BLers are going to feel comfortable trying to spell out a dosage for you. just start extremely small and take it very slowly, keeping in mind that though you might not feel anything, the heroin is inside of you and the effects are still compounding in your body. and suck it up cuz i'm about to tell you "how bad it is". do yourself a favor and don't do this tomorrow night to try and reach your desired effect, and then the next night because you feel like you're finally dialing it in, and then the next night because you finally got it figured out, and then... you see where i'm going with this. i've literally seen that scenario played out in this forum a few times in the last month. just please take it slow and be safe and humble.
 
Thank you for the response I wasn't really asking for a dosage because I know how hard that really is to determine. I plan on starting very very slow and smaller. How long do the effects of insuffalation usually take to kick in?

I'm from the west coast so all of my personal experience is with tar which is not typically insufflated. given what i know about heroin, and basing my assessment off of many interactions with users who insufflate, i think the best advice is to play it safe and give it 20 mins-half an hour. i would adhere to that until someone can chime in with personal experience.
 
It usually takes about 10mins to kick in and 20 mins to peak. And no one ever tries it once. I planned on only trying it once and now I'm losing veins. But if you can be that 1% that only uses occasionally good for you.
 
I may not stop using opiates all together but I have just always wanted to try H and I refuse to IV because I was told that once you do that your done for completely. Thanks again for all the advice. One more question. So if I do a tiny bit ( matchstick head size ) and wait 30 minutes should I redose or just wait it out? And also to anyone who has insuffalated, what are the effects like?
 
we all know that you're going to use this until you feel it tonight haha. if Bamboo says the peak is after 20 minutes, 30 minutes should be a safe time to redose if you feel like you need to. just keep a consistent dose so you can keep track. it comes in doses of .1 for a reason, so just keep that number in mind. NOT saying to take .1 right off the bat. stay at your match head size. .1 is what is packaged for people whom it is assumed are already addicted and know their desired dosage. keep it small, keep it consistent.
 
Hahaha your right I am going too. Okay I will keep that in mine. Will the effects differ from other opiates or will they be better and stronger?
 
here i can chime in, having made that fateful switch from opioids (hydrocodone, oxycodone) to heroin myself. the effects are basically the same, with only very subtle differences. i suppose in terms of what you're spending, the effects will be stronger, though the ratio can't exactly be measured by weight. (ie. 20 mg's of oxycodone will NOT necessarily equal 20 mgs of dope). that's why it's so important to start slow. the potency of pharmaceuticals is consistent, heroin is not.
 
That is literally the only thing that scares me about it is that when you take 4 percocet you know you are getting exactly 20mgs of oxycodone an 1300mg of Tylenol. Nothing more nothing less. With the H you have bo clue. But again I have been using opiates for 3 years now so I have a lot of experience so it's not like this will be my first opiate ever. It's not even close. I understand your tolerance and experience. but you need to understand that now that you obviously have a means of accessing heroin, and it is probably cheaper than your OC, you're already in a dangerous position where mere frugality will take you to that next step it will be harder to come back from.
 
Just be aware of your breathing first and foremost. Give it a chance to kick in before you redose. And enjoy!

It is much cheaper and tbh that's the reason I am trying it. Im going to be as careful as I can be but I'm sure you know how it goes.

One last thing. I dosed 20mg of 5mg/325mg oxycodone/acetaminophen at 7am and another 10mg at 8am. Should I be weary of this or by the time I try the H ( around 11am-12pm ) it will not matter. Also I do want to add ( I won't go into detail ) but I very knowledgable in the medical field so I am a little more informed than some.
