Yeah, every interview I've ever read with Scorsese he was always tipping his hat to Powell and Pressburger.

He's a soundtrack master imo.

[edit]

forgot to mention Wes Anderson = soundtrack perfection too .. and I'm an Owen and Luke convert as well ... both of em. On a purely superficial level I have a think for voices too, and Owen's = yum

Owen Wilson needs to stop making crappy romcoms and start to wriite again , cos he is a brilliant writer

Rushmore was amazing

I haven't seen that in years.

A broken heart played out in tennis. The tone of the commentary is fucking perfect

Best song ever for that scene

This song is so heartbreakingly awesome & Royal T must be one of the best written American Movies of all time

Owen Wilson is a fucking legend.
Please stop acting in crappy romcoms and start writing movies again Owen !!!!

Rushmore and the Royal Tenenbaums and Bottle Rocket were supreme

Please write movies again Owen Wilson !!!!

everybody knows this blah blah but i love its dreamy majestic-ness, beautiful

Pulp Fiction - Girl, You'll Be A Woman, Soon scene
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gKLbaausPQo

the amount of times dancing around mashed like that at house partys

A classic and brings back some really great memories of the 90's

As well as this scene

Paul Thomas Anderson totally nails the whole vibe, I am Guessing he did more than his fair share of coke to have written this scene :)

The Camera under the glass table is a touch of genuis

3 great actors totally on the top of their game

I can feel my teeth and upper gum going numb just by watching that clip
Can literally taste the bitter drip down my throat :)

Rushmore and Royal Tennembaums are easily two of my favourite films, brilliant both of them.

Watched that new film with Emma Watson last night, forgot the title as I was baked, pretty rubbish, story is non-existant, acting is fairly bad, goes nowhere. Still worth a watch to see her pretty face and uber cuteness.

I actually think Bottle Rocket tops them both , especially when they drop the Rolling Stones in the movies last scene..

Spoiler alert !!!
No not watch if you have not seen the Movie

If you like Ben Stiller and Judd Apatow id suggest the movie Heavyweights. It is kind of a kids movie at face value (made by Disney) but it still makes me laugh to this day. Its about a fitness freak (Ben stiller) who takes over a fat camp.

Check it out, it was pretty early in both of their careers.

youd have to be a full time crack head to not like Ben Stiller

Or an ex-fulltime crackhead in my case. He's shite.

Ceres: That does look pretty good. Didn't know it was a PG-13 which would normally strip such a film of any and all intrinsic worth but it magically appeared on me pooter shortly after you posted here so will give it a go anyway.
