Ya. Is teensy quantities that's mostly stopped me from ever really bothering with owt like that. Might be worth it to see if it makes enough of a difference to make it more appealing to invest in slightly larger amounts at a later date though. If I knew it was gonna end up as a nice smoke I'd probably be more inclined to buy more/more regularly.
 
a much improved smoke, kinder on the throat and lungs as well which was the main reason for me...

as shit as it is, i kind of miss soapbar :(

yeah if you've got access to better quality hash it would be better just to buy that, handy if soapbar is all you can get though.. for a few years for me it was the only thing i could get (in the days when skunk was rare) if anyone remembers such a time
 
Still a big demand of soapbar here as it's always about. If you look enough it's normally only a phone call or two away but by day 2 I'm sick of the black smog I'm blowing out and the 5 minute high. Always think I'm gonah save money and never do. Haven't had any in ages, heard there is good hash about again though would love some!
 
I only ever see soapbar these days when I'm round at my mate's. He gets it for his maw (I'm not even sure where from, I don't know anyone that sells it). She loves a bit of soapbar & rarely buys green coz he smokes it all haha. He'll occasionally build one off her bit of soapbar, like 1 or 2 a week, but he'll smoke half the bag if she's got green.

I'm giving up on the high-grade dude & gonna text my regular guy the now to see if I can pick up a Q the mora.

I've just remembered that we used to tell the quality of the hash from the colour of the plastic. Usually it was either red seal or gold seal. To be honest, I don't think this was the random bits of plastic bag you get in soap bar but actually plastic film used to wrap the stuff. Does anyone else remember red and gold seal? Gold seal was obviously the best (not that I can remember whether there was any real difference...)

Yeah, cause I remember red & gold seal - it was fuckin lush! Thing is though, the seal should be on the outside, not the bloody inside =D. It really used to confuse me, because I always thought that gold seal was a notch above red seal (though subjectively I couldn't tell any bloody difference!). But when I started buying larger amounts it transpired that the good afghani black had a gold stamp of two lions (IIRC) on a 9 bar, but it was always wrapped in red plastic. When cut into deals, obviously some peeps got a bit with the gold stamp still on it, and others just got some in the red plastic, while others got both! I believe that this is where the gold v red seal myth came about. Eeeh, hash nostalgia eh? I've said it before and I'll say it again, does anyone else remember 'sputnik'?
 
Red/Gold seal was my standard hash "back in the day". By far the most common type. Always a nice smoke. Remember when I was still in me first flush of youthful cannabliss smoking 14 pipes back to back in quick succession then spinning as fast as possible on a spinny chair. Not entirely sure what the plan was but blimey did it make me woozy. Think I puked actually. Was very much during my "experimental" phase :D

Also used to like flatpress when it was still a decent smoke. Very hit and miss whenever I've seen it more recently, mind. Think it was just the fact that it fluffed up so incredibly from what seemed like nothing. Magic hash <3

FUBAR: Somebody said they remembered Sputnik in reply to the last time you asked a page or two back with some additional info on it. Rings no bells with me though.

Yeah, I agree with you there mate! When soapbar hit the scene, it really wasn't that bad. It was cheap 'n' cheerful, but did the job ok and the quality was fairly reliable. But then it started getting 'bashed' - like squidgy black and other types of solid. Decent soapbar was actually quite a good smoke - doesn't knock you on yer ass, but was a decent, functional smoke - the sort of thing you could have a few spliffs of before the pub without spending all night either as a paranoid mess or falling around in fits of giggles. I used to use it as an anxiolytic myself. It was like an old friend - sure, there was more exciting 'company' around, but soapbar was faithful and never let you down (until it got shit)...

Edit: Naah, you must have been mistaken mate - the only response I can find was Darkinthepark saying 'What's Sputnik'? But then Sputnik was around before he was born...

Yesss, got some weed at last!

Bone dry 2.2 on the twenty too and it smells just like the first weed I ever smoked, really minty with a bit of an earthy/hashiness, till today I wasn't sure if it was just my memory playing tricks on me cause I had never managed to find weed that smelled the same. FOUND IT AGAIN :D

Got a couple of seeds in but it's still nicely crystally, might plant em in a park/field somewhere, when would be best? I could probably sprout them indoors to get them started but not gonna risk growing in uni halls hah.


Just wanna sit here smelling it and reminiscing for a bit before I smoke it lol.
 
How can I tell the difference between a smoke alarm and a heat alarm? The one in the kitchen is heat, one in hallway is smoke, one in my room looks the same as both of em. Have a bag taped round it at the mo but a mate got in trouble for that, would rather not risk having it up but don't wanna set of the alarm lol.

edit: on closer inspection the hallway one has a wire mesh and the kitchen and bedroom ones don't and have a gap all the way around the top, looks like it's a heat one in my room! infact, it looks like both of them, damn, not gonna risk it.

I have smoked in a room with a smoke detector alarm in it with just a bread bag over it and it was fine. Did this multiple times. They make out the uni ones are hyper sensitive but I had zero problems
 
Yeah got a lil bin bag over it, I've just realised an elastic band would be so much easier than trying to tape it with one hand. Really quite strong weed even though there were 6 decent/viable looking and 5 immature seeds in the couple of grams!

Again, whens the best time to plant them outside?

Do I sprout em first or just stick em in the ground still in their shells?
