I have always liked EADD. It is my favorite lurking forum. I rarely post here because I am a foreigner and feel unwelcome.

that is a bit jumpy alright. it's apparently quite common for people to shoot loved ones in the middle of the night according to the today programme.

surely if you live in one of those triple security gated compounds you'd have a bit of faith in the security? or is it G4S that provide it? They were on about some bloke who had killed his daughter in similar circumstances.

talking of people trying to breach security someone tried to post an iron thru my letter box the other day. It was very embarassing. One of my aunts who was over from ireland (an aunt who is always telling me to be careful when I leave the house in case i get murdered, careful when I'm in the house in case i get murdered etc) saw it. Thankfully she didn't go off on one about the rough estate I live on. No. Instead she spoke of the danger of irons. "the most dangerous electrical appliance of them all if there is some thing wrong with it. " I have to say I agree. I had one that I carelessly poured water into while plugged in. It burnt through the board cover. I looked at it. It began to glow red. Within seconds i was holding a flaming iron. It looked satanic. i turned it off at the socket.

Apparently there were domestic incidents in the past at Pistorius' house...It might not have been entirely accidental (though still entirely regrettable I'm sure).

& how many times do you shoot someone "by accident"? Sounds like she was hit at least twice & maybe more. Further, he looked a bit worse for wear being arrested, perhaps he (like most white Saffa's) likes his drink a bit too much..?

He's being charged, which I'm not certain would happen if Police believed it was an honest accident. Most SA law is similar to UK's, but I don't know enough about either countries systems to be useful.
 
From what they were saying on the news at lunchtime, sounds as though he hasn't got a leg to stand on.
