Ever end up wrecking yoursen from itching?

Oh yessum. Several years back in me early BL daze I posted a pic of me leg after a codeinated itchfest. Was back when I was somewhat less HR-minded than now and was still injecting codeine by the gramme at regular intervals (don't try that at home, kiddies). Histamine release is just reedickyouless. Was actually part of the appeal in a strange way - so overwhelming a headrush it leaves you reeling. Then the itchiez kick in with a vengeance. Good god the level of itching is indescribable. Hence posting a pic to demonstrate. Calf looked like raw hamburger. Lovely. Am a tad less idiotic in me drug use these days :D

Also, Co-Op have just started selling a cheapo generic anti-histamine here so am chuffed. Only £1.80 for 12 (I think) which is less than half the price of 7 for most I've seen. Is only a non-drowsy one (certrizine (sp?) I think) so doesn't do owt other than stop the itchiez. But it does stop the itchiez dead. Well worth investing in anti-histamines for emergency itchiez relief for those that use codeine (and some othe opies) fairly regularly.

Wait, injecting codeine can actually get you high? I was always told it couldn't, needed metabolising to morphine in the liver.

There's hardly any morphine in codeine. Tiny percentage when metabolised. Nowhere near enough to feel even with zero tolerance really. There's loadsa different opioids in codeine and very little is actually known about most of 'em. Seems to be the effects are due to a combination of different opioids working synergistically. Was just talking about this t'other day with somebody here. Jamshyd wrote an excellent post on the subject a coupla years back but buggered if I can find it. Was posted in BDD from memory. Very detailed and quite the eye-opener. Morphine is neither here nor there when it comes to codeine effects.

Oh, and IV codeine most definitely gets you high. But it's also incredibly dangerous. Above and beyond the standard "don't shoot pills" stuff. Causes serious lung problems (embollisms?). But I was deeply unedjimicatored about drugs till I got more invovled in BL. Stopped with such foolishness once I read up on how incredibly iffy it was.

i just bought an eye-fi sd card, to facilitate even more extremes of lazyness.

wtf is that?

Ooh, they are scary looking bastards, don't blame you. We got chased by sheep once, the local college had a working farm and we ended up stumbling into it whilst off our tits. Also it was knock a door run here and my housemates still play it when they're pissed. Was terrified of Mrs Snolly's dog cos he's a Staffy, didn't realise they ain't evil by nature, it's just the hard looking cunts that train them to be mad. Daft thing wouldn't hurt a fly, and he has the gayest bark ever ;)
Oh god, dancing dogs, got a proper soft spot for them haha. They are fucking good at knowing when summat's up, missus' dog came to get me when the daft cow fell down the stairs. She does that more than I'd like but it's starting to become hilarious. Must be sorta cool having three dogs, don't think I could man it though, enough trouble with rabbit. And yeah she had the snip yesterday, was fucking funny watching her monged out afterwards. She's all cool now tho, just don't like not being able to let her out

Edit: Fucking hell, that is some nasty burn, musta wrecked

Thanks snolly, she is in terrrible pain & the Doc only gave her some Codeine to fight it with, they said it is 2nd degree burn & will need a skin graft, she is pissed off with herself but glad her daughter was out the flat at the time, but her kid cried so much as Jamie (my fiance) was crying all night from the pain & it set the kid off too :( :( :( :(

@maxalfie - you joking me about the dog bankrobber film?........
you remember what it was called?........I LOVE animals doing stuff & imo that would be a classic film to watch, animals in hats etc make me laugh till my ribs hurt :)

@Shambles - I know that is what I said to her but for some reason she didn't know water into boiling oil is not a good idea but she does now.
She is just glad she didn't burn her face off or get it anywhere else tbh.
You seen her before & imo she is a great looking woman, her hair got burned some how which is her pride & joy so she is pissed off about that too but I am glad she is alive tbh.
The kid was crying for hours because "mommy you's got burned" English but in a Norwegian accent ;)

IV codeine is VERY BAD IDEA.
Read William S Burroughs Junkie, you can die from it, for some reason it does not agree with the body when cranked

Ya. Could definitely have been a helluva lot worse than burnt hands and singed hair. Water into flaming chip pan could have blown up right in her face. Or worse given there's a nipper about. Doesn't bear thinking about :|

I managed to burn several fingers in hot chip fat making donuts once. Need to slide 'em in gently so they don't splash. I slid one in a bit too far... Only noticed when me fingers hit the bottom of the pan (was a wok so fairly shallow). Oddly, I didn't feel any heat whatsoever til I realised what I'd done. Very delayed reaction. Then it hurt like a mothafukka :!

Pee Ess: The Doberman Gang

i still somewere have some stephen king book from 9 years ago, i wonder how much i owe them now

Mate of mine used my library card to rent a video getting on for twenty years ago and never bothered returning it. Reckon the fees would pay for a sequel by now.

The Secret of a Successful relationship is Getting Pissed Together

Secret of successful relationship is getting pissed together

COUPLES who share regular marathon drinking sessions are more likely to stay together, it has been claimed.

Drunk couples also find each other more attractive

Drunk couples also find each other more attractive

According to research, couples are more likely to split if there is a disparity in the amount they drink.

Plumber Stephen Malley said: “I’ve been with my missus for fifteen years, and she’s great because she can really put away a ton of sauce. It’s what I look for in a lady.

“I love boozing but my previous wife was all like, ‘you’ve been sick on yourself again’, or ‘you shouldn’t be asleep in that bush’, yadda yadda yadda.

“She was no fun.”

Malley’s long-term girlfriend Nikki Hollis said: “Yesterday we went out at midday and woke up at 4am this morning lying on a roundabout with only one shoe between us. The magic’s still there.

“They say the best memories are those you can’t remember.”

Drink-based relationship counsellor Emma Bradford said: “You should both clear your diaries one evening per night, get a babysitter and make it ‘session night’.

“Match each other drink-for-drink and then try to a steal a fruit machine.

“A loving couple should prop each other up emotional and physically, particularly if one of them has fallen over in the road and their legs aren’t working properly.”

The Doberman Gang, well done Shambles mate.
Can you remember watching that film as well, its older than I first thought.

All going good thanks mate. Have been out a bit lately on job hunt so not been about until later in the day. Won't be about in the day tmrw and Friday as on computer course from 9.30am to 4pm.
Read about yr casino course, sounds good when does it start?
Sorry to hear about your missus mate at least it wasn't any worse eh.

well the same library is there but they had a whole refurb takeover thing ages ago so i wonder if they keep all the old records. i would gladly post it back to them if i can find it.

Exactly same thing happened to our library in town. Its in same place but it's a lot bigger and better now.
I just need to rejoin so I can make full use of all the great books they have and use their computers.

I never felt like I do over her & the kid I worry all the time if they are OK etc, I freak out when something goes wrong like that.
I mean my woman can look after herself very well in terms of fighting as I told you before but fire & electric I freak out incase any bad stuff happens to them.
I really don't know what I would do if they got hurt or died etc, the kid is even more of a worry than the woman tbh :(

The croupier training is in a month or so, they are just waiting for the other 7 people to finish, The woman said around mid March & I will be able to begin.
tbh it will fit in nice if this DALT shit goes ok for us as I can work in a Norwegian casino & that would be huge money, my plan is to do that for 2 years & save some NOK up then move back to the UK & get my woman a nice ring & treat the kid to a holiday to Disney world in Paris (well that's what I want to do as they deserve a break in life, I told you before some of the shit they gone through, they had it rough mate)

The good thing with that job once you are trained is that it is a skill that you can take anywhere with you.
No tools needed to transport everywhere just yr hands and your brain. Could be a great break in life getting on that course mate.
I bet your little family in Norway would love to be treated to Disney World, they deserve a bit of fun after everything that's going on.
You go back over this month don't you, bet u can't wait.
