Fist time using Methamphetamine. I want to shoot it forsure.

Hey everyone, Ive been a long time reader on BL and now finally joined up!

I have done a lot of reading and research on this and am finally ready to try it out.
I will be receiving some crystal meth that is clear crystals and is supposed to be of good quality from a reputable source. I have never tried it before but am very eager to. I have tried just about everything and I have IVd many times including heroin and other opiates 1-2x a week for the past 2 years and have also IVd, mdma, lsd, NBOMe, coke, ketamine, 4-aco-dmt, some RC stimulants that are close to meth effect, many pills.
I am 21 yrs old, 5'8" and 150lbs, I was thinking of doing 20-40mgs to start, I want to get a rush but I don't wanna do to much as I have no tolerance.
Does this dose sound appropriate for a rush? Also is the rush similar to a coke rush? and is the high like a MDMA high(I hope not).

well any help and or advise would be greatly appreciated. I am dead set on trying meth so please don't be trying to talk me out of it just help me gather the right info, also I am pretty set on IV as my ROA but would consider smoking but have no pipe.

I guess this can be left open for now, because, as mentioned, while we are not here to help you get high, but we are here to help you use drugs more safely, so we can discuss a safe starting dose. We can't tell you the perfect dose that will give you a "rush" yet still be safe, it's best to err on the side of caution and dose too low, since everyone is different and meth varies a lot in potency (honestly I think any amount IV'd will provide somewhat of a "rush" though in my experience).

Let's everyone please stick to the topic of dosage and how to use it as safely as possible as opposed to recommending a dose to get as high or as strong a rush as possible or saying how great you may think it is or things like that. If this thread gets derailed from harm reduction it will get closed.

My first thought is that I would NOT recommend injecting meth, especially when you have never even done meth before. As someone who has tried every route of administration I really think it's best taken orally. Yes there's no "rush" with oral, but the high is better and much longer-lasting, and it's obviously substantially safer.

As for effects, it's very easy to research the effects of methamphetamine, and what a drug feels like is not something we really cover since it's very well covered elsewhere. Check out our Trip Reports section, or Erowid for example. I would personally say it feels more similar to MDMA than it does cocaine though. You should really do more research on methamphetamine before trying it, and especially before deciding to inject it.

Dosage: Purity is going to vary a lot, so I would say a safe starting dose for IV would be 10mg, in case it's strong. You can always do more later but you can't undo it if you do too much, which can be very unpleasant and dangerous.

It sounds like you have some pure shit (ice) so as mentioned i would start with 10-20mg if you must IV it. Be careful though because there are tons of shard RC's that can easily be passed as meth as i'm sure you know.

I know you said not to try to persuade you away from IV use, but as we are here for harm reduction, I'm going to anyways. Give consideration to plugging it perhaps.

Information on its use has reports of the effects of the drug lasting longer, as methamphetamine is centrally active in the brain, these effects are likely experienced through the higher bioavailability of the drug in the bloodstream (second to injection) and the faster onset of action (than insufflation)

Telling someone who already has a needle habit (and already has IV stim experience) not to IV this one drug is kind of ridiculous guys. Though I would echo the sentiment about oral dosing being preferred for this drug. And if you wanna try smoking it (which is safer than injecting, of course), you can always go the lightbulb route or chase off foil.

Light Stimulation 5- 10 mg

Strong (rushing) 30- 60 mg
Very Strong (strong rushing, intense euphoria) 50- 100 mg

Oh, and since you mention injecting pills, I hope you use micron filters, if not use the search engine and look up the mega thread on it.

It is not at all like mdma. MDMA isn't fun IV in my oppinion it's just too much. Meth will give sort of similiar rush as coke yes, but still different. I love meth IV every once in a blue moon then I will remember how much the comedown sucks and how riddiculously reckless I get and stop. Then I will forget that and try it out again months/years later. Keeps going like this for me. Was addicted to amphetamine before but I feel like I can no longer handle more than a week before I get sick of it. Will make you want to redose.

Expect euphoria and an increase in TLDR on the internet, expect the opposite during comedown. Expect to want more. Expect to take more, if you are like me. Wake up one week later when bag is gone, wonder why you did this crap to yourself.

The point I think is he is set on doing it, telling him it's a horrible idea will not dissuade him if he's anything like me and has made up his mind. It's better to tell him what to expect and what the consequences might be that makes less tempting to do it. Pyschosis and reckless redosing doing stupid stuff and coming to a week later realizing you got nothing worthwhile done and was it really that fun anyway? No, might aswell have left it alone, this I always think afterward. I feel like I harm myself too much in compared to what good effects I get out of the drug. However, this is probably something OP has to experience for himself, and just dissuading him from doing it, citing no reason whatsoever not to, will not work. I can understand your frustration, if I could stop someone from doing drugs IV I would, but that isn't always the case. Some just have to learn the hard way, I hope for your sake OP, you save yourself the trouble. Don't be an idiot like me.

To expand on my "terrible post".... Zazu, for the first time that you are using the drug I wholeheartedly suggest a different ROA.

IME oral dosage was by far the most positive for me and smoking was by far the most negative for me.

Glad I could offer something else than wall of texts for a change OP should know that I had to destroy my rigs this week to stop me from IVing more amphetamine. That should say something about how compulsive it can get. And meth is worse, I guarantee, my soso quality sulphate does not compare.
