But they're not! The classical limit is a pretty big deal. The laws which describe quantum systems like protons and nuclei are enormously different than those which describe classical systems like baseballs and planets.
 
hence, the relationship between the celestrial bodies may have interactions, in some way unlike anything we can have experience of, which results in a function or mechanism of some greater organism is a concept quite imaginative, but not entirely impossible. :)
 
at the same time, the presence of live organisms living inside other live organisms does not necessarily mean that we are living in some incredible cosmic organism. nor does the structure of the human brain necessarily analogue the structure of the stars.

Given the distances involved, this cosmic consciousness would be a pretty slow thinker, seeing as it would take at least 4 years for a signal from the Sun to the next nearest star, let alone from one end of the galaxy to the other. It would get also slower with time, cause of the metric expansion of space.

If we were to stretch this 'cosmic brain' idea to its breaking point, could this tremendous loss of computational speed ever be fully compensated by the brain's truly massive computational power (given a sufficiently large assortment of astral bodies with which to work)?
 
I don't think so. It would have so HUGE latency that by the time information gets shuffled around it, whatever the computations referred to have long, long ago, stopped existing. A lot of the data would also be lost due to stuff like extinction distance of light/scattering and eventually, the metric expansion of space disconnecting ever growing regions of space and the contents in them from ever being observed from each other.

Also, it does not seem that one could really shuffle these bodies around in as arbitrary a fashion as we do charges in an I.C.

Not to mention the sheer volume of noise involved, assuming that not every physical interaction is meaningful to cosmobrain. I guess being an interstellar semantic engine would be akin to having an eons-long battle with schizophrenia.
 
That's what life is to me. Come on you breath,eat, shit, take a shower, talk, move around a bit idk do a jumping jack. Did I miss something? What kind of answer are you looking for its common sense you were made by man and woman against your will, thrown into a fucked up world and forced to live "life".;)

Yeah, most of the signal would be just be noise from perturbations and self interactions... it would be meaningless noise.
 
What is life?

Shit.

Everything produces shit. Fertilizing the earth. Or it dies and becomes shit, fertilizing the earth and providing nutrition for some other life form. So yeh, life is shit, basically.
 
Life may be just complex chemistry, but what and why are very different things. The what may be given to us but the why is ours to create.

On the cosmobrain discussion, neutrinos might be a solution to the problem of communication or maybe quantum entanglement.
 
Through my personal direct life experience

our life is physical manifestation of the cosmos or divine intelligence appearing as humans..

That force is everything and anything... it is ALL that there is;

We are all one "energy force" or whatever u wanna call it;


We created this life for us by US.... its basically a giant video game or cosmic movie to us...
