I'm about to begin taking Inositol (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inositol) in order to curtail my Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. I was wondering if anyone knew (or, based on the info provided on Wiki, could surmise) how Inositol would interact with MDMA, should I decide to roll sometime in the next few months. Any and all info or advice would be appreciated!

You're taking a sugar replacement to curb your OCD?

It sounds crazy but has been found to work as boosts serotonin - normally now drugs like Prozac are given as have a quicker effect with proven results. May be easier than saying eat a few turkeys a day ?

This really depends on your OCD, what are the triggers and what you find makes it worse. If your using Inositol to increase serotonin then there really should not be any interactions but just taking the MDMA alone could make your OCD worse in the days that follows due to stress and lowered amount of serotonin (which your already taking 'medication' to treat etc.

I would say don't take the MDMA.

Thanks for the responses, guys. I've taken MDMA twice before, and both were positive experiences. I felt euphoria, increased senses, and was more open/social--additionally, the OCD was easier to manage. I still had compulsions, but I was able to ignore them more easily, and not obsess over them.

I was just curious if the Inositol would either strengthen or weaken my usual roll--or interact adversely with the MDMA.

a good friend of mine has ocd and has been on medication for it since childhood. he has never been able to roll (tried many times) even off tested pills. not sure if its because of his medication or what the name of his meds r tho.

I could see the OCD symptoms also showing themselves to be more prominent during the roll as well.
But like you said, depends on their OCD.

It would seem like he's on some kind of SSRI antidepressant.

Or maybe even after? I've seen a lot of different disorders get worse after they come down / the next days.

Oh yes, definitely that too. That's actually what Bearlove was mentioning in the post I was replying to. I was just adding another possibility.
