Can Marijuana be considered a spiritual drug?

I think marijuana can be used in a spiritual sense (regarding the posters who reference religious use) but I think hashish is better suited for the practice.

Edit: Wikipedia is hardly a credible source, however

It presents information, then sources its information. Wikipedia is used as a pathway to information, not a source. If you doubt the validity of an article, attempt to verify it or disprove it. Sideline commentary is wholly unnecessary when a person can be expected to say the exact same thing time and time again whenever presented with a certain situation.

Really? The only people I've heard who have any explanation of their resentment of Wikipedia atre librarians and English teachers whose jobs are threatened by it.

For most topics is more than enough info for the laymen and generally accurate. If nothing else it's a great starting point as the references on a good article usually have a lot of info.

And I'm not some inbred idiot, I'd consider myself well educated.

but does anyone think if you were to sit alone by yourself and treat the smoking session as a spiritual experience. As you wait for whatever happens to come to mind would it be your imagination, or would you maybe begin to interpret life in a new understanding?

This is what it's all about. Anybody who is using pot as a cheap intoxicant is missing the boat.

I'd agree. If it can treat the most complicated science subjects with reasonable (frequently, VERY good) accuracy (From the scope where I am formally qualified to posit, it's treatment of particle physics and molecular biology is usually top notch and better than most books.), I'm sure it can treat something like cannabis and it's role in various religions pretty well. (And again, for historical information which I can posit on, it's treatment of military operations which I was personally involved in and therefore know what the fuck happened, is very good.)
