No he didn't - but I suspect you knew that. As it's long been one of me fave pieces of trivia...it was the fella from Eraserhead. He choked to death on a glazed donut. There's probably worse ways to go. And better. Nice jammy donut would be better - at least you'd have a chance to catch a breath through the jam'ole.

Bleagh, cannabis... Can't stand it anymore. Even hash I can barely tolerate, just makes me unpleasantly "aware" of a lot of things I'd rather not notice.
Although I do envy people who can still enjoy getting stoned. Definitely the drug with the most benefits:hazards that we know of, IMO. If I want to chill out I have to resort to opiates, GHB, or brain-destroying dissociatives... So really this is just envy.

Same, cannabis seems to twist my head more than anything, uncomfortable and over thinking, cant relax on it, weird stuff. all anxious and shit. i wanna be able to enjoy it again but dont think its ever gonna happen

I feel like I should be insulting someone, but I'm not sure who.

Some progress on my tedious visa situation. We got letters from the UK Border Agency telling us to get our biometrics recorded. Which, although they didn't say, probably implies that we haven't failed our application (or else why bother telling us to do this?). So things are looking slightly up (especially since a few days ago when my girlfriend's work threatened to sack her because our visas run out in 10 days - even though legally we can work after that, if the UKBA is still waiting to approve our applications).

Blah blah. About to head down the local pub for a surprise set - some band warming up for a forthcoming tour under a false name. I hope its Radiohead .

Can't believe I never bothered to watch 'em when they used to play free gigs at the local pubs and social clubs and stuff. They were kindasorta friends of a friend so I kept promising to go then all of a sudden Creep came out and they suddenly stopped playing local pubs. Oddly enough.

It's really not going to be Radiohead :D...It'll be someone much smaller. I'm wondering if it'll be Foxygen (suddenly hyped, playing here in a few days). I Am Kloot, Savages, Palma Violets, Indians....but it'll probably be someone I've never heard of.

edit: AAAAAND it's just been cancelled. Which is what happened last time they had a secret set. The landlord gave me free beers...maybe I should go down anyway and see if I can score anything?

Wouldn't have been Radiohead cos they've not got an album on the horizon. Atoms For Peace have one out this month though so was what set the alarm bells of envy a-ringing when you said "band under a different name... maybe Radiohead". Phew. Can't have someone else having more fun than me now can we?

I'd take the free beers and potter all the same, IJ. Never know what might occur on a good potter.
