I only took two tramadol at 8:30 this morning but I was just prescribed Lortab 10s for an abcess. If I want until 1 or two this afternoon, should
it be safe to take 2 Lortab?

Yah, it sounds like you were messing around with some harder stuff if you got an abcess.

Tramadol isn't even really a strong opioid anyways, you will be fine. The only thing i would be concerned with would be your seizure threshold, as tramadol lowers the seizure threshold, as so do hydrocodone. But you will be fine.

100mg tram and 20mg hydrocodone? You are straight. You don't even really need to wait. Just don't drive or operate heavy machi nery

yah, do not take any more than 400mg of tramadol within a 24 hour window. as lacster mentioned it lowers the seizure threshold and high dosing could possibly lead to a seizure. i like to recommend to take an anti-convulsant to reduce the risk of seizure. something like a benzo, valium in particular, is a good choice. a 5-10mg dose is sufficient.

to answer your question - yeah, you'll be fine:)

Anti-emetics are effective against nausea and vomiting. Even though some benzodiazepines are effective in that respect, when speaking in relation to seizures the appropriate classification wold be anti-seizure/convulsant medications.

Tramadol and hydrocodone do not synergize in anyway, the hydrocodone will overpower the tramadol. I think it's a waste of tramadol. As mentioned tramadol can provoke seizures so do not exceed 400 milligrams daily.

ah shit, yeah, i don't know why i wrote anti-emetics. i had maxolon on the mind for some reason hahaha.

i did mean anti-convulsants; apart from benzos, neurontin and pregabalin are lumped into that group as well. i've used both for neuropathic pain but both lost the magic and i actually started to get some weird and pretty hardcore side-effects so i discontinued immediately and without experiencing any wd symptoms! :)

Were your thought patterns interrupted by random insignificant ones? That is what stopped me from using nuerontin, that and my hands and feet tingling...

i'd start trembling and be shaky at times, fine motor skills were almost obselete, fuzzy brain along with a few other things - i'm just a little messed up to properly remember at this point in time.
