"Darkness cannot be dissipated with more darkness.
An unidentified buyer who is totally not compensating for anything has purchased a gigantic cigar for $185,000.

The Gran Habano #5 El Gigante -- The Giant -- measures an astounding 19 feet long by 3 feet wide, according to FCN. The super-stogie is wrapped in 16,000 wrapper leaves and weighs approximately 1,600 pounds. That's the equivalent of 25,000 regular smokes.

Juan Panesso, who operates CigarsDirect.com in Westchase, Fla., says he thought the inquiry into purchasing the cigar was a fake.

Agreed.

Though I think it may be a good thing it went to some rich guy probably from Saudi Arabia or something, and not like...one of us.

We would figure out how to smoke it and that'd be one hell of a fire hazard.

I don't understand the point of the cigar. Too bad that 185 grand didn't go to something more useful.

Me, too. More useful than a cigar you can't smoke? With people starving and homeless in the world?
That money could have given 5 or more homeless families a chance to re-enter society, get jobs, and participate, instead of being a drain on society and suffering through life. Good for everyone.

But the cigar is probably a reasonable substitute if you have no penis.

(and I lol'd at Bill Clinton!)

"Hey guys, you wanna go check out my 19 foot cigar?"

Looks like a log, lol.

Speaking of cigars, I occasionally enjoy the flavored variety.

I think I read an analysis a while back that the world economy would collapse and poverty would skyrocket if people stopped buying luxury and vanity items.

the people i know that smoke them use them pretty much as a status symbol. i hate the smell of them but the expensive ones have a certain scent to them that you can definitely tell....

its kind of like dro for me....i love walking into a room and wreaking of dro....pretty much because that means i can afford to smell like it....if it makes any sense.

I want a 19 foot cigar rolled like one on the left ;)

the one on the second to the right looks like a potato, gimmie a nice cohiba pyramido anyday, but what a gigantic waste of money buying practically a telephone pole made out of tobacco leaf. you would need to have a flame thower to light it and a negative airmachine to smoke it. you could build a tent on the other end and manke an air tight enclosure and fill that tent with like 50 ppl and get them all sick lol

somewhere, right this second, that is probably exactly what is going on.

someones needs to make a 19 foot blunt! lol Sounds like a job for...The Burnouts! Youd need a damn parachute or something to use as a roll mat just to keep it all together.
