CIA sued over 1950s 'murder' of government scientist plied with LSD

Last sentence of paragraph 9.

No mention of LSD in my post, nor this part of the article. But look! he did witness murder using biological agent that Dr. Olsen had developed.
oh.

That could be any number of chemicals that he may or may not have helped in synthesizing. He knew the risks of his job, and it was his choice to work there. He probably did have extreme stress or underlying mental issues since he wound up killing himself. His family's lawsuit again is a waste of time for them, their lawyers, and the court system. Nothing will come from it, and his kids should just learn to let things go since they have not found anything, and probably never will.

If a person has researched psychedelics, then they will know that with great power comes great responsibility. Cheesy as hell, I know. People have life long affects from the use of Psychedelics.

A friend of mine's father had never experienced any drugs besides Alcohol and Cannabis when he tried Psilocybin Mushrooms. He was in his mid 40's at the time. He subsequently started to show signs of Bipolar disorder, though the trip went normally. After continueing to have feelings of mania, he went to a doctor. The doctor diagnosed him with Bipolar disorder.

This trip was several years ago. He still lives with the changes made from that single ingestion of Psilocybin Mushrooms.

I completely understand what your saying not only from reading about this sort of thing, but from seeing it in person and discussing it in depth with those involved.

That guy was bipolar and probably not on meds or getting help for it. It's not like magic mushrooms suddenly made him bipolar out of nowhere. I know people who are schizophrenic and they use psychedelics instead of taking their medications and getting help for their mental illness. In a few of the cases their schizophrenia was brought out from the use of drugs but it did not come out of nowhere or they did not suddenly become schizophrenic randomly just because they used certain drugs like psychedelics.

Anyone have any thoughts on this documentary? I'll try to get around to watching it this evening.

I'm telling you, it's REALLY good. Very well done. One of the better documentaries I've ever seen on National Geographic Channel.

I actually have it on DVD now and this would be the cover art:

Possible Spoilers:

NSFW:
It's mainly about the MK Ultra program and Olsen's alleged involvement in it, as well as the events/incidents witnessed by Olsen which eventually led to him being murdered by the CIA out of fear that he was gonna spill MK Ultra's dark secrets (testing various cocktails of drugs on unwilling human subjects, etc.).

^ The effects, including after-effects, of a strong LSD trip can last for a long, long time.
It took me several weeks after my first and strongest LSD trip to regain a sense of normalcy and equilibrium.

Fuck the CIA. They would lie to protect themselves, and hurt their own people without a second thought.
I agree. LSD after effects can last for a while. If someone spiked my drink with LSD I would probably freak out and have an awful time. What kinda dirt bags do that anyway? Oh wait..

People who are into psychedelics do it to each other all the time. When I was in highschool there were people who would "dose" their friends with acid. One girl I knew she stayed over at her friend's house and they'd taken mushrooms that night and the next morning she was eating eggs and her friend had put a tab of blotter into them while cooking them so it didn't work. It seems as though Olson was not suited for his job at all even though he knew what he was getting into, and was under intense stress and suicidal, and he could not keep his mouth shut and wound up taking his own life from depression, anxiety or stress, or because he was suicidal.
