Come-up intensity - why is it different between MDMA pills?

Dosing at 125mg I have found that pills and MDMA powder have different come ups. I am wondering exactly why this is because MDMA is MDMA right?

I have found the Green Square and the Orange Bomb particularly. Last night I did 1/2 an orange bomb, 125mg, and I was absolutely going crazy for about 5 minutes, furious dancing and just shouting 'I Love Holland' in the club. It soon subsided to a standard MDMA cruisey vibe.

Compare this to some super clean MDMA powder I have. I put it in capsules 125mg and drop. Well, no real comeup, it's the slowest takeoff ever, then you find yourself on MDMA. Other pills like Yellow Rockstars or Pink Diamonds also have no such real comeup, except maybe for a little tingle at the back of your head.

So what is it that is giving the furious dancey comeup on some pills?

excitement/nerves/blow out after a long week? I highly doubt that if another person took the same pill they would have the 'I love Holland' effect (not the normal effects). I know that I have gone stupid in clubs simply 'because I could' looking back there was absolutely zero link to the drug but simply because I wanted to go stupid.

When a pill gets lab tested it gives your the figure for the amount of MDMA, this means it doesn't account for the salt? So to get an accurate representation/match the dose the same as a pill, say you had a 120mg pill you would need to do 120mg + 15-20%.

I hope that makes some sense, it's worded awfully. Feel free to edit it to make more sense.
 
As crazy as it sounds, I think it may have something to do with how well the tablet or powder dissolves in your stomach. If a tablet breaks down quickly in your stomach and leaves a lot of small MDMA crystals with a high total surface area then more will ultimately hit your bloodstream at once. Whereas bigger crystals will dissolves slower as they have less overall surface area, and so it enters into your blood stream slower.

One comparison could be made with dissolvable pain killers (aspirin, for example) - if you just drop one in water it'll dissolve slower then if you broke it into quarters and dropped it in. Possible a similar mechanism works with MDMA? The smaller the crystals and the quicker the tablet breaks down the harder it will hit?...
 
^I think your close.. but no cigar! ;) Crystal would actually break down faster. Have you ever put some crystal in a glass of water? It dissolves instantly.

A pill, however, takes quite a while to dissolve as your stomach must go through all that pill binder before it gets all the crystals... so instead of getting the full dose at once, you get the same dose spread out over 5-10 minutes as that pill is dissolving. The harder press the pill is (Defqons, Q Dances, Speakers and such are hard as FUCK. The rockstars were quite a bit softer pressed) the longer it will take the pill to dissolve, and of course I'm sure what pill binding they use makes a difference too.

This was a rumor, I'm guessing put out by some dickwad Dutch dealers. The labs test for MDMA-HCL, not the freebase form of the drug. If the lab says there is 120mg of MDMA in there, there is 120mg of MDMA-HCL. It stems from the "MDMA can only be 84% pure" bull shit, but is simply not true. These days a lot of Dutch crystal is only 84% pure MDMA-HCL because dumb people think that is the maximum purity it can be, so the chemists can cut it down to that much with no problems at all. But no, it's not true..

i always just chomped the shit out of all my pills, so even if they were pressed hard or soft it all hit my stomach broken up and shit.
i also never bombed my powders, always snorted that shit.
it appears that with my habits, i have no 2cents to throw.
 
^ yeah, I always used to chew my pills too. I like to get my full dose at once, not spread out. I never snort MDMA though, it leads to a much speedier and shorter roll from my experience. Takes away too much of the love from the roll for me, oral MDMA is superior to every other RoA, in my experience, and I've tried them all! (except IV/IM..)

Don't feel bad haha, it's an EXTREMELY common rumor.. but yeah, it was probably just created by Dutch chemists so they can cut their product down to 84% and get 16% more money lol :\
 
So what you are saying is that it's got to do with the bindings in the pill?

In which case, why do I drop MDMA powder in a capsule and it doesn't give any come up?

Other people have tried the Orange bombs and say the come-up is as I described, fast and furious!
 
I would suspect that the "come up" would be the pill dissolving over time, while with crystal it all dissolves at once and as such it all hits you at once.


And it would make sense the orange bombs hit you the hardest, half of that pill has a higher dose than even the best pills around here! But yeah, taking a pill in halves would increase the absorption rate and have it hit you faster.
 
Getting slightly off topic but I actually found Orange Bombs really clean, felt like good quality MDMA and nothing else. Was exactly bombing 1/4 of a gram of MDMA.
 
I think it has to do with tolerance. The first few times I rolled the intensity was much more intense and with tolerance going up the comeup got less and less intense. After a good 5 month break the intensity got right back up there. For me atleast when I wasn't taking the breaks it really dropped off then picked up right back again once I gave myself more recovery time/tolerance.
 
Pills hit me with a bang.

I tried mdma power once and was dissapointed, it felt way more mellow. And yeah I realize it's exactly the same, just posting my experience (all people who where there also never tried power before, and experienced the same)

Right! Same here. I found it like a totally gentle takeoff. I think the MDMA powder is ideal for noobies. But the comeup was out of this world on the Orange Bomb but it lasted merely 5 minutes.

I would agree that comeup is less intense as you use. But really, this Orange Bomb was nuts. And clean too. Zero comedown and I use 3-4 weeks, 400mg. So that is something to be said for clean clean MDMA. The dirtier stuff gives you a right shitty comedown.
