how do i change the way the way the date is displayed so that it shows it as month, date, year?

mine shows as date, month year.

You can't, actually. Us folks in the US are the only people that insist on strange numbering systems. Pretty certain the rest of the world uses logic.

the forum software does not allow users to set their date format to be different than the system date format (which is dd-mm-yyyy). it's just a minor annoyance with which you'll have to learn to live.
