OP sorry you're going through this shit. Did you reduce your dosage, or stop your dose cold btw? I will soon be beginning a gradual taper, and I'm trying not to get in too negative frame of mind; we've all heard the horror stories, but I believe the right combination of drugs can all but eliminate WD, based on my research.
I think if I'd known how protracted a bupe detox can really be (I've heard reports of 2-months of withdrawal and sleepless nights then I may not have chosen bupe in the first place. The thing is, I started taking them around 10 years ago, it was the "subutex craze" in the UK then; misinformed DR's believed it to be the magic bullet for opiate addiction, and many believed suboxone detox would be completely painless. I still encounter this attitude a hell of a lot, actually.
I'm not condoning the use of opiate drugs here, but when I was as sick as a dog
Following a script mix-up (I was given a fraction of my regular dose) I found tramadol to be a life-saver; it eliminated around 90% of my symptoms. When the time came to taper down my tramadol use, I found the process painless. I believe kratom could potentially help you a lot here, although it isn't cheap. It won't get somebody like you in withdrawals high, but it is an agonist, and in the right doses it could give you some limited relief. Kava could be of help in reducing your anxiety and restlessness.
Of course, doing it my way would involve using drugs; It's possible you don't want to touch another drug as long as you live-and I respect that. Speaking for myself, I have a very low pain tolerance, particularly for WD symptoms; I could never do it cold turkey. I have to say though, you're doing seriously well. It's quite likely you're through the worst of it now. Hope you feel better soon.
