Is speed still used in the UK (Not asking for 'hook-up' just curious)

interesting effie.. it certainly has a cleaner buzz than the good street phet I have tried, but in a way that is why it doesn't feel quite as fun.. Don't get me wrong it makes ya feel great and have enough you end up quite the wired mess, chatting bollocks and smashing drinks like there is no tomorrow. However it feels pharmaceutical, which is probably just in my mind, like an expectation or something, but just doesn't feel quite as fun as good base.. Good base reminded me of good coke, but dex feels like a prescription drug, even when proper buzzed from it. I dunno that probably makes no sense =D

I love dex, most practical drug on the planet, managed to write 6,000 words in a night on dex and get a 2:1, no shit! (was stressful though) but for partying I would prefer proper base, not that it's easy to find.. The best times I have had using dex recreationally is pop one or two before taking MDMA, completely avoids the mongs, the 'I need to sit down' comeup I sometimes get from MD, just kicks in nicely and adds extra energy to the night, sweet :D

Have never come across Dexies in all me puff. Think I just missed out on 'em cos the speedfreaks a few years older than me mostly seemed to be quite familiar with 'em. Suppose they must've been relatively widely prescribed in times of yore. I further suppose they must've been prescribed more or less as a general pick-me-up kinda thing cos it wouldn't have been for ADHD back then surely? Maybe this "epidemic" of ADHD we're apparently experiencing these last several years will have the handy side-effect of increasing availabilty of pharm speed? I sincerely doubt it but one lives in hope :D

well like I have said before, the one's I used to get a couple of years back (which are identical to the ones I have now) were off a kid who had been on methylphenidate for his ADHD, but hadn't taken them for years just sold them. He realized dex would be more popular so told his doc the Ritalin wern't working, and the doc immediately put him on dex. Not sure how common that is but if you know anyone with ADHD who has long since stopped taking their meds, ask them to give it a go

some funny shit written in the leaflet that comes with the box, we used to giggle at it years ago. My fave side effects being:

'Loss of contact with reality'

and

'Changes in blood pressure (with possible bleeding into the brain)'
=D

'Loss of contact with reality'

=D

That is quite possibly the bestest side-effect I have ever seen. Think I'm gonna ask me doc to do a search for all the scripts on the NHS system that have that side-effect listed and do me a hamper :D

He might say yes. You never know.

Alternatively, I'm off to hunt and gather me a distracted-looking child ;)

EDIT: Not for Savile purposes I hasten to add. Purely for entirely innocent drug-seeking purposes.

Ahaha, would be ace just to see the list even if you didn't get the goods! and yeah find those distracted kids, loads of people in the UK are on Ritalin, hundreds of potential speed peddlers out there ;)

Having another look at the leaflet now, priceless! it also has 'Happiness' as a possible side effect, only a few lines down from 'Nightmares and panic attacks' =D

Oh and not that I would IV anything these days, but for the sake of education the other ingredients aside from the 5mg d-amp sulphate in each tablet are stearic acid, acacia powder, lactose, light liquid paraffin, maize starch, sucrose, purified talc and purified water

"Happiness" is listed as a side-effect? Blimey. Never seen that one before. You certainly don't see anything close to that on any anti-depressant sheets. You do see the "Nightmares and panic attacks" though. Cos they're far more desirable as side-effects for depressed folk 8)

(not that i'm saying phet would be a great anti-dep but interesting to see "happiness" as a side-effect on any medication really)

Yeah tis strange, I guess it would be because taking a dexie makes you feel happy straight away as opposed to anti-depressants which tend to take a while

That's a brilliant side-effect. I guess what it really means is false/artificial happiness, but then is that really any different to the happiness that anti-depressants are supposed to (but don't) give you? Perhaps "happiness with eventual crash" or something like that would be a better way of putting it.

Dexies seem way too expensive to even contemplate these days, I use to be able to get what I believe to be Dex in illicit blank blue tablets never had legit ones to compare to though.

ADs have a long list of side effects that seem to manifest themselves with alarming regularity, SSRIs really do not agree with me at all, Sertraline even triggered a stomach bleed, I've managed to get off 'em all now but the side effects continue.

I've recently got some very potent speed in, paste that dries to something more like coke (real coke) in that it doesn't really form a powder but you can cut it up nice and fine on a hot plate. 50mgs hits quite hard and there is no urge to re-dose for as much as a couple of hours, and I suffer form compulsive re dose with stimulants. Good stuff is out there but IME not all that easy to find.

Good speed is extravagantly plush. <3

Shame on those of you who feel the need to ruin good drugs with alcohol. :P

Speed is good on its own also, but i get to excited when i do only speed. But im very sensitive to speed, and i mean VERY! I cant sit still, so i need some GABA work in my brain >D
