Benzos Took a shit ton of Xanax and am confused on what happened to me

Last summer i was staying at my moms house for a week or so and found 3 scripts of Xanax that were almost completely unused, there werent any 2mg bars but there were 2 scripts of 1 mg blues and 1 script of peaches. Well i took all of her bottles because she does not use Xanax and she wouldnt notice. I ended up getting carried away and did about 15 bars in one day, then the next 3 days i dont remember how much i did but it was more than necessary. On the 4th day of my binge I was in the bathroom smoking some bud (i was caught smoking in my teenage years so i smoke in the shower when i stay with her) and i did some more xanax and then the next thing i remember is waking up on the floor with my family yelling and banging on the door and when i came out they said that they thought i died because they were trying to get me to respond for 2 hours. i know you black out on xanax and do shit thats crazy as fuck and you dont even remember but i have never gotten to the point where i cant even wake up. did i go into a short term coma or what the fuck happened?
 
It is certainly possible. You took benzodiazepines and blacked out. Chances are you took more Xanax during the blackout. It is the most common effect of taking too much of a benzo (Xanax/alprazolam is a benzo). Next time don't take crazy doses. You're wasting drugs and not even remembering what you did while you were on them.

You are mixing up the term OD with "Leathal Overdose"and a "black out".
And of course you can die from taking a lethal dose of any benzo, it certainly isn't "nearly impossible".

Certainly an overdose that caused a blackout. You should savor drugs not shove them down your throat at once.

It is absolutely possible to OD on xanax, or any benzo for that matter. And like lettuce said, OD doesn't always mean lethal overdose.. there are many levels of OD'ing and loosing consciousness due to drug intake is most certainly a form of overdose.

Take it easy in the future with the pill intake... you were being pretty reckless from the sound of it.
 
She also had loritabs that i would take every now and then, i took a 7.5 the day i found Xanax. I heard mixing benzos and downers (such as hydrocodone) can be fatal, im starting to think that during my 3 day blackout i took some of her loritabs along with the xanax. And yeah i realize that it was a waste now because if i would have taken them more responsibly i would of had many many many great nights. But im sure you know when youre fucked up on benzos and you have over a hundred of them in from of you and youre black out you cant control what you decide to do with them.

It's almost impossible to die from a benzo overdose. It's certainly possible (and fairly common) to pass the fuck out for long periods of time and not remember anything though. Watch your doses more carefully next time.

EDIT: Just read about the loratabs... yea you throw some opiates in the mix and you're lucky you didn't end up dead or in the hospital.

You can avoid that situation by exerting some semblance of self control... Hah. What was the rush to take so many so fast?
 
Be glad you made it through that alive. Mixing massive amounts of benzos with opiates like hydrocodone (Lortab, Vicodin, etc) can certainly be fatal.
 
And to everyone that is telling me to savor them and appreciate them, i understand that now, but at the time i was in love with xanax and i knew its potential but was too stupid to think about the future and what could happen to me. and sorry for confusing the terms up. Im just used to slang that me and my friends use, next time i post ill be more formal. Thank you for the responses everyone and stay safe!
 
Are you talking about something that took place last summer?
If you are, then have you seen any benzos in the last two days?

i am glad man, that night really taught me a lot. i ended up going to the hospital that night and they said i could of easily died. thank god i didnt have to get my stomach pumped though. i was coughing up pink and green powder for a week after the incident

hahaha well i really like my benzos and having that much xanax in front of me made me feel like a little kid on christmas morning so i did a few lines then had some friends over while my mom was gone and we just did xanax and smoked bud all night and i did so much with them i was blackout and just lost self control.
