Has anyone noticed if you get more euphoria at lower doses of hydrocodone than higher doses?
 
I didn't want to make a whole new thread so I was wondering if for anyone else it seems like it takes about 1 and a half to 2 hours to feel any effects.
 
No. It hits me in 15 min on a empty stomache. If I eat something maybe 30-45min.

But everybody is different. Some people it takes longer to be metabolized.

I did notice a difference between 5 and 10mg dosage. 10 mg seem to last longer with me for pain relief. At 5mg I'm redoing in 1-2 hrs and the effects are not that strong.

Same with me.

Empty stomach, crushed and somewhat dissolved in water will still take me at least an hour before I start to feel it. I do have IBS so maybe that has something to do with it.
 
I take enough to start nodding, any more than that just prolongs the effects, I dont really get any higher, at least in a pleasurable way. But thats only at higher doses, in general with opiates, less is not more, the way it can be with some stims or weed for example.
 
With opiates the more you take the more holy shit you feel.
For example a person whos semi tolerant can take 50mgs of vicodin and get a nice buzz or that same person can take 70mgs and is close to nodding.
Theres more euphoric feeling when your close to nodding than there is when your just nicely buzzed
 
This is because with opiates if you dose to high the more nauseating it is... You can kill any opiate buzz by fucking up on dosing...

If you get sick on opiates you are dosing too high...
 
Sigh. Hydro's use to be my love. Around 80mg is a nice all day semi speeding kind of buzz. Heroin and the needle fucked me out of that though....


The last time I took hydrocodone I did a CWE on 100mg and didn't feel much of anything. It made me very sad. I miss the good days of eating 60-80mgs and I am feeling nice

I miss those days myself when 50mgs of norco would give me a nice buzz threw out the evening
 
Well there's always a certain dose with all opiates after which I won't feel any euphoria but only nausea and globally ill, is that what you're referring to? Under that certain amount though, it's usually the more I take the more euphoria I experience.
 
Oooh, i get nauseated on opiates and I have a hefty habit. It's usually when I take an excess amount of codeine that my stomach really starts to hate me and I feel like i want to vomit - this is normally when im in withdrawal from oxy or i just can't get my hands on anything else. Sometimes i feel a little sick on oxy too though, i don't know what triggers it, but when i was taking very high doses 250-300mg i would feel a bit queazy too.

Yeah codeine seems to be one of the most nauseating ones no? The absolute worst I've ever felt on opiates was from codeine, I was literally stuck in bed throwing up the whole day after, and I hadn't taken such a large dose...oxy or heroin never had me like that.
Don't mean to derail I'm just curious to see if anyone agrees.
 
hydrocodone always seems to satisfy an opiate craving. It gives me the warmth and gives a very pleasant buzz, but I can never really nod from it, especially because the dose I would need would go past the threshold APAP.
personally I would never use the word euphoric when describing hydrocodone.
oxy on the other hand, is beautifully euphoric
 
Hydrocodone is my drug of choice. It doesn't make me nod which for me is a plus because I don't enjoy flirting with the reaper. I've seen what heroin does to people first hand so I'll just stick hydrocodone and oxycodone which also doesn't cause nodding IME. The only drug I've nodded off was hydromorphone which is well beautifully euphoric even at low non lethal doses even when I have a moderate tolerance.
