Is speed still used in the UK (Not asking for 'hook-up' just curious)

True. Nor does it feel corrosive when you snort / plug it.

Street speed's a different game though - no one feature is totally reliable in judging the quality of it, either by sight or by smell, other than taking a small amount and seeing how far it goes. It all depends on the manufacturing process, the cuts, the smell of the dealer's freezer, whatever.

Certainly most of what's out there is unfortunately bunk. Wish I had some decent stuff right now though.

When I first took speed, back in the late 70s, I always got it in pill form. Rough pressed blue pills usually, looked like Es but a bit smaller than most

I know actual "base" (as in oil) was available once 'pon a moon. Cos I used to have to cut fuck outta the stuff to sell it cos no cunt would bite (certainly not quick enough) for actual oil. Actual freebase is not really safe to be selling uncut... Can be cut to paste wiv glucose or whatever and will last a bit longer... possibly still less than safe tho...

First "base" I came across was early-mid 90s. Was yellow oil, strong like y'all wouldn't believe, and no fucker would buy it. Slightly more fuckers bought it than bought methamphetamine (at the time) tho so it took over and got shiter by the week. As mentioned many times afore tho, I knew a speed chemist at the time so had relatively primo access to the Godliest of the Goodliest of the Goodiest (ie straight from his own personally synthed stash)...

Noticed the quality plummet around about the time I found other cunts selling it. Was a more stable product... but also considerably shiter. Has gotten only worse since then :(

PS: Oldskool sulphate powder was a whole other kettla fish for me. Much "cleaner" and less "spaced" stim. If y'all know wot I mean. Both are lushy as fuck when done right though <3

Also, base "oil/lightly cut to paste" stuff lasted 1g/week up 24/7. Oldskool powder lasted ~48h/gramme. For me anyway. Make of that what you will.

Not so fast - remember the Beatles used to have those pills preludin? I think there were Phematrazine so phemdimatrazine was the pro-drug of what the Beatles used to keep going in Hamburg. I've heard a couple of people say that stuff whupped the ass off amphetamine.

I think Lemmy once said he stayed awake for 9 days on the old school sulphate and in that entire time only ate two small raspberry yoghurts and a jammy dodger.
 
We did have a Polish gang in my town recently that were trying to force dealers to sell their speed for them.
The first ounce they sold to the dealers would be good stuff and once the dealer had people coming back for the quality speed then that's when the Polish gang started giving them really poor quality speed.
When the customers went back complaining to their dealer about the shit quality he would say to the Poles that he didn't want it anymore.
That's when the gang would get heavy and try to force the dealers to carry on selling it for them.
This went on for a while until a few of the local hard men were paid to scare the Poles off.
 
speed is still very common but the price and purity varies massively
i stopped taking it when i bought a q and had half of it and still got a good nights sleep

saying that i had a g that lasted me and 2 mates 48hours (2seperate nights with no sleep next day still up drinking)
 
No idea what's going on with UK speed thesedays. Can't say I'm sad about that but wouldn't mind something of good quality once or twice a year mebbe.

I got through (ahem) a lot of top quality amphetamine sulphate powder twixt around 1984-1990 (primarily '84-'87, but remember some brilliant stuff in '90). i knocked it on the head then, had to go down the total abstinence route for a while.

Since then, 22 fkin years ago (well 23 now for the pedants), I have not once seen sulphate anything like that. Granted, I don't really mix in speedy circles but still.

I had another, much briefer fling with it around 95/96. Base, proper base, bought from an old head. Yellow oil, far too strong for consumption so cut to paste with glucose. This shit was toofuckinmuchforme. Seemed impossible to have a dose low enough for a pre-24 hour sesh. Hello amphetamine psychosis - nice to see you, to see you eeeuuurrrgggh

Anyway, that's seemingly gone now too yes? What the fuck happened to the sulphate? such a great drug...
 
I really wish I could get my hands on some of the 'old skool' 'phet now. Even when I'm lucky enough to get some good paste, it just doesn't seem the same as the sulphate of the '70s/early 80's. Rose tinted specs?, tolerance?, old age?, maybe. But I'm sure that there really is a fundamental difference between the 'whizz' of yesteryear and the 'base' of today.
 
apart from dex all the UK speed/base I have every tried has been weak as piss, like a full g will keep you awake for the night but not much 'buzz' HOWEVER over the summer in Bristol got some proper paste. Like a g wrap between me and 3 other guys had us fully wired chatting shit all night, don't think we even finished it, proper potent little tiny dab an you were off! so got more in for the summer, it's cheap and puts you in instant party mood without the mashed fuck'dness of MDMA, love it :)

although weirdly I can't fuckin remember where I got it! only a few months back my memory really is dire, think it was off one of the 15 people I was living with while down there. It smelled fishy, like the shit stuff really but it was strong

OH and doctors do still prescibe Dex in the UK, often to peoplewith ADHD, they somtimes switch them if they aren't responding to the ritalin
 
yes, for sure, but quality varies massively. I'm still able to get potent shit recently, but it comes and goes. What with there being umteen other rc stims on the market currently, there is also a good chance you could get one or a combo of those being sold as phet sulphate so the untrained user, wouldn't even know.
 
Had some nice stuff about a year ago, though it's not something I actively seek out actively (actively, actively.... actively) and I usually just stumble upon people asking if I want a dab.
But aye, it was definitely noice Amphetamine crystals and did a good job of keeping me up all night and jolly at a camp-out-bonfire-soundsystem-party-thing.
 
Speed is great, when mixed with alcohol. Alcohol "cancels" the anxiety and paranoia. And its overall better..:) First u get drunk. Then do a line about 20,00 then redose max at 23,00 and continue drinking, so that i pass out bout 05,00 - 06,00. I really hate those days, when we started at friday and ended at Sunday evening.

I dont remmember when i took last time amphetimes. I prefer MDMA.

Yes!
I had a set to play one night and I was really, really, really fuckin drunk and totally incapable. But I had a small line of M-CAT and a dab of Speed and I was right as rain in about 10mins and played what I was told to be a wicked set!

Good ol' stims for the drunken-monkey cure %)
 
I fucking hate speed. I've never had good speed, mind... Just staying awake for 30 odd hours laying their with my eyes closed for hours on end... And sleep never comes.
