How did you get off your butt today?

..Popped 150 mgs of caffeine,some spinach,and healthy herbs to get me through my 5 mi. jog session
 
Walked between the two piers at the beach, 1.7 miles each way, so 3.4 total miles. I think I will start doing this walk, the wind and the waves were good or the soul, and walking on sand worked some different muscles in my legs.

Thank you. We have different terms for things (squat thrusts= burpees). I need work on crow pose so that works well for me.
Can you suggest a substitution for pull ups? I don't have a bar.
 
Improvise - trees/doorways/balcony or porch overhang on your deck...I opened the attic hatch and hung from there myself.

I stand corrected...I have been doing squat thrusts and burpees wrong. WHen doing burpees and missed out the squat from it, and went straight from the kick out bit to the leaping up.

For squat thrusts, I have just been doing a knees-to-chest while in plank - in and out = one rep.

...having thought about it and analyzed the terms - squat and thrust, it makes sense, and then of course I just googled it. DAYUM.

I like burpee better it sounds hardcore. Continue with the burpees then.
 
hmmm I quickly looked at a photo. I watched a video and they are the same unless you are adding the optional push up.
I have nothing that I care to do pull ups on...gimme modification! A cardio move is preferred :)
 
fuck cardio - the whole thing is cardio as it doesn't take very long, if you're going reasonably quickly with only 3 long (20 second-ish) out breaths between different exercises, or 60 seconds of ujjayi pranayama.

COME ON improvise woman, or you will induce me to delve deeper into the probable cultural misconception that women are "not as good as men at improvising". ;)

Chest and triceps circuit and interval cardio training for me. Getting back on the grind after too much slack time.

Hey, you could come with me sometime if you want! That was a good walk.

Today, shopped at Target for like three hours because I was with my mom and she has to look at everything....I am counting it as a workout because I had to lift my 60 pound kid in and out of the cart like 20 times, plus dodging around all those people who didn't have anything better to do on new years day....lol

Today was back and biceps for me, and more intervals. Shoulders, legs and abs tomorrow, which I'm dreading, lol.
 
lunch time walk: 5.96kms (basically looping the whole sydney cbd) in 52:33

preparing for 100miles/100 days challenge starting next week. should be easy, despite my recent weight gain.
